Excitement turned into disappointment
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve long wanted to replace my 1080P Samsung 75” with a 4K TV ever since they came out. This became possible when I started noticing a dark shadow on the middle of the screen of my old 1080P so I decided to go for the RU8000 4K Smart TV as a replacement. I am more of a movie type person than a normal TV show viewer, so I also bought me a Samsung UBD-M8500/ZA 4K Blu Ray player, two 4K HDMI cables, an ONKYO TX-SR393 4K receiver and to start with, a total of 68 4K Blu Ray movies. Oh I was so excited but my excitement quickly diminished and turned into a disappointment. The color on the RU8000 4K is okay on TV shows but I can never acquire the same or better setting that I enjoyed with my 1080P Samsung 75” TV. Most of the 4K blu ray movies appeared to have washed out pictures and I can never adjust the color setting properly. Each 4K blu ray I purchase comes with a regular Blu ray movie, so I started comparing between the two and I noticed with big difference that the regular blu ray is sharper and brighter and the color is tolerable. With my old 1080P, once I set the color setting, its set for good, unlike with the RU8000, for each 4k or even the non 4k movie I have to set the color again...it is very annoying I have to deal with this for each movie that I watch. With the 4K blu ray, my eyes are strained and always end up with a headache. I did some researched and found out that the 4K Blu ray player is another reason why I can’t get the desired setting. So I got me the Sony UBP-X700 4K Ultra HD Blu ray player. The difference between Sony and Samsung 4K player is night and day but I still cannot get the better viewing as compared to what I had with my 1080P accessories. I found this forum in the internet about people experiencing problems with their 4K blu ray movies and now I found out that not all 4K Blu ray movies are better than the conventional blu ray movies. For example, I can never watch Independence Day in 4K – the picture is dim and washed out it gives me a headache. I put on the 1080P Blu ray disc and it’s crystal clear the way that I want to see this movie. In the forum it mentioned some titles that are bad in 4K especially old movies but not all. The Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is a fairly new movie but I can never enjoy watching it in 4K disc. For some reason, the 1080P disc suits me better. I have not given up the 4K yet, so I ordered me from Amazon a Panasonic 4K Ultra HD with HDR10 voice assist Blu ray player and hope to make a difference. I have never had any other brand Blu Ray/DVD player than Panasonic before. I always enjoy the color setting and the brightness and sharpness of all my movies so I’m trying the Panasonic 4K player and see if it makes a difference. I have not received it yet… If I don’t like it, I may end up hooking up my 1080P Panasonic blu ray player into all my 4K accessories, I just have to stop buying 4K movies. Overall the 4K TV is okay, I just have not found the compatible 4K Blu Ray player that will please me yet.

TV Picture is Beautiful
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took a while to get the TV delivered, but the TV is wonderful. The only problem that I have with this TV is the Volume. The internal speakers on this TV are not loud enough. I have to raise the volume almost (85-95%) all the way up in order to hear programs.

Nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv but have to say it just made me want to go bigger after a couple weeks. Recently upgraded to an 82" and next will be the 85". Sold it to a friend and his family is thrilled with it the same as I was. Samsung fan. I recommend

Excellent alternative to higher end model
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve got a higher end Samsung model of the same size at home. Needed an additional TV and this did not disappoint - color quality and brightness are solid. Was extremely easy to wall mount. Since it’s backlit there is a difference in our other TV, however it is negligible for the price difference.

Love This TV!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV about a month ago. Absolutely love it! The only complaint that I have is the volume. The room that this is in is very spacious, and I have to crank it way up to fill it. Highly suggest purchasing a soundbar. (I can see one in my near future!)

Great picture when watching movies
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is amazing when watching movies or playing video games. Since cable only runs at 720nor 1080 the picture sometimes looks grainy and not the best. But since Netflix, vudu, and other streaming services as well as xbox they have a 4k or UHD viewing the picture quality looks incredible.

Samsung 75" 8 series
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome color, awesome software package. Not sure how I lived this long without an actual Smart TV! Great option for those who want a great picture, put are not wanting to spend the money for a QLED TV.

Wow! Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's like sitting in a theater. Great picture and fits right in where our older Samsung set. Great value for the money. The QLED has a marginally better picture for a lot more money. In fact, the picture is better than the lower tier QLED. I'm happy.

Love this TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a 6400 65" JU series and love it. I have it hooked up to a Samsung 4k player and movies look fantastic. The upgraded HDR and refresh rate make a big difference. We also watch 4k HDR content through Netflix, Disney+, and Prime. Great TV.

Great TV!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great purchase and happy I did. I was considering the Q6 models, but the picture on this was great and I did not need the additional bells and whistles. Highly recommend this TV, if you are looking to make the leap to the Q series yet.

The picture quality is awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this television to replace our projector and screen. The quality is amazing from all angles and lighting. We added the Samsung sound bar and it’s better than the previous set up that we paid over $4000.00 for. I would recommend this t.v.

For the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture brightness can't be changed except to 5 different setting. You can't manually program that or the sound In the menu. So its either really bright or dark some in between. Wish they would have gave more options. Other than that the picture is great quality and the sound is good.

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the picture. The sound doesn't go up as it should. Found that this is a common problem, when researching the internet. Bought a soundbar and have great volume. With the soundbar added, it gives me everything I expected when I bought it.

Great TV at an amazing price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV is unbelievable for what I paid for it. Amazing list of features and picture quality for the price! If I had to ding it...I would say that the built in speakers aren't that great. But they're rarely used so its not a big deal.

Wow what a Picture!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The image on this new Samsung is crystal clear. Have it mounted on the wall and it's a piece of art...recommend a sound bar as the sound is not great from the tv itself...at least with my setup.

Great looking TV for the price but....
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV looks great and the software if fantastic. Issue isninhave had to replace my first one already. Might have been a lemon because after 20 days the last TV had color Banding issues. I would have given this TV 5 stars if not for that. Will update after the next 30 days with the new one.

Good tv, maybe a great tv.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is a big beauty with a wonderful picture. The user interface seems intuitive but takes some getting used to. It’s very customizable which is nice but also makes it a bit of a challenge to familiarize yourself to. All in all, I am very happy and would make this purchase again everyday.

Not disappointed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is great. Especially for the price. The colors are accurate and bright, motion is smooth, HDR looks amazing and the speakers produce high quality sound. I recommend this TV if you’re looking for a high quality HDR picture but can’t afford the higher-end OLED or QLED TVs.

It’s decent
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this along with a 6 series 55’. The 75’ constantly drops its connection to the internet. And it has the hardest time connecting back once the connection is lost. The 55’ never has this problem. Other than that the tv is nice. Picture is stunning.

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is better than I expected. They always look so good in the store, but you worry about when you get home. No worries! Lots of menus to go through when setting things up, but once you get through it everything works smoothly.
