Installing a solid state drive in your computer is the best upgrade you can do. Boot time is reduced by 40% and all programs run faster. I chose the Samsung due to the ratings. The laptop model doesn't come with the USB to SATA cable, fortunately I had one from my desktop kit. ($20 more) It does come with the drive cloning software. Be sure the old drive is virus free before cloning. Also delete any programs or files no longer needed to save space on the SSD.

I installed this in my macbook pro with a disk bay so I can have 2 drives in my macbook pro. I use this as my boot drive and a 1tb as a storage drive. Speed and performance have improved greatly.

Incredible speed boost across the board. The physical installation was real easy once I found the correct SATA port on the motherboard. The software however required several on-line updates and re-runs before all the features could be fully installed. Definitely worth it.

The SSD was easy to install into my computer and the programs that came with it were easy to use. My computer booting speed was really noticeable with this SSD and has some good amount of memory left.

Although it may be a small SSD it houses the Win 7 OS and Office 2010 Pro. I have kept everything else off the SSD. All the documents are stored on a separate HDD. Setting up the new computer was very easy add and the Samsung SSD was a good fit. The size forces me to look at everything I download.

After being assured by the sales associate on the phone that this was the correct replacement hard drive for my Toshiba ultrabook, I ordered it and, of course, it was way too large for the machine. I had to return it to my local store. I was very disappointed.

Vs. other brands and sizes of ssd, this is the best for the price. BBuy also pricematched to newegg! Was very happy about that--combined with my rewards zone discount, got like $30 off. This is a better brand and speed of ssds. Would recommend for anyone wanting to juice up their old comp. NOTE: Comes with drive replicator--takes a few minutes to duplicate old hard drive, which can then be tossed. Liked that feature way much.

This drive is extremely responsive and fast. When I installed it in my ultrabook laptop (with windows 8), the laptop boot time and application opening time become really quick. My laptop starts now in under 6-7 seconds faster than my cell phone.
