I have an 85 in Samsung nTV 14 months old and the sound stopped working. I call support, they put me through the paces, we slam the TV. They finally decide, "yeah you need a repair technician". they scheduled a repair technician who comes out, and puts in all new speakers and a motherboard. no resolution. He calls Samsung support and they tell him "yeah we know about that it's a software issue we're working on an update and we'll get it out as soon as we can." So he takes out all the new parts and puts the old ones back in. Meanwhile I'm paying for a service call. Samsung set up the service call, should never have been set up in the first place, fixed absolutely nothing, yet I'm out the money for the service call and Samsung says too bad for you. I almost bought an LG I think I should have

Great TV, but remote needs to be assignable to a specific TV. I have two Samsung TVs in the same room and each remote controls BOTH TVs.

Im very disappointed in Samsung for this TV. Picture quality is awful at this high price. I switched Sony A80K which was buggy, with this and I highly repenting it. Picture quality is no where near natural colors, there is too much either yellowness or redness in the picture, also severe blooming around white backgrounds or colors like shocking pink or green. Pretty much everyday I adjust colors for whatever I watch on this TV. If the picture is not on optimized then it gives you severe rudder and I have to then go back to settings again to fix it. So everyday is a challenge with this TV. Other thing that I noticed that the picture is not same if you are not sitting directly in the middle of TV. This is another issue. Overall awful TV and Im returning it already with another less buggy Sony. I cant say much about sound as I use sound bars.

To ensure your picture is fully optimized, please be sure your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version, as this includes picture quality updates. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after performing any available firmware updates, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode ...and select the mode that best fits your usage: 1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 3) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 4) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings to manually fine tune your image.

We purchased the QN85 to replace our old 55" Samsung and wow what an up grade. We were going back and forth between the QN85 and the QN90 and we settled on the 85. We could not tell the real difference between them even though the sales rep was trying to explain the difference. The 90 has the NextGen system and ATSC which the 85 does not. ATSC is not available in our area, so really no lose. Plus the wife and I are not gamers.
Numerous streaming apps come with it. Set up and navigation is very easy.
The picture is bright and the colors are brilliant and crisp.
Great valve for the dollar. We have 3 other Samsung TV's in the house and they have been working for over 10 years. great product.

I was between this and the Sony mini led. For the price, the 85” model was significantly cheaper and in my opinion better looking. Also, I was not a fan of how the Sony anti reflective screen caused a massive rainbow effect. Very please with this. No blooming issues, works great with Apple TV 4K and Samsung soundbar with sub woofer. Make sure you have total tech for the free install, mounting and calibration!

Very happy with the 4K picture quality. The remote that comes with the TV is a bit too basic, but I am using my Direct TV remote with voice command. The sound quality is quite good, but I will connect my BOSE speakers soon. Overall a great TV for a reasonable price.
