This is my 3rd samsung ssd. Always fast. Samsungs cloning software is by far the best in my opinion. Better than acronis or others I have used.Samsung magician is easy to use and explains everthing. The 850 evo is also a great drive to install new operating systems on. Took only 7 minutes to do a clean install of windows 10 education, thats including the time for setup and updates. I get sustained read speeds over 500mbs and write speeds around the same. Time to boot windows and all startup programs started and idle is about 15secs. Keep in mind 3 of those seconds is the boot manager. These numbers are achieved with a basic laptop that has a 5th gen I3 and Kingston 8gb ddr3l hyperX ram. This ssd is a solid winner! Other ssd's that i have used include Sandisk ultra Pny and Adata drives. The samsung ssd is by far the best!

Bought two of these to replace HDDs. Performance is fairly good & boot times are very fast. The only thing about these SSDs is that they do not come with a USB to SATA III adaptor (which is needed for the cloning software which comes with the drive).

Drive is very fast. Easily worth the cost of upgrading from a mechanical hard disk drive. Have been using for two months, no issues so far. Also came with some data transfer software that was also easy to use with a optional cable you can purchase from Best Buy. Easily recommend for anyone wanting a easy and noticeable upgrade to their computer.

Well I didn't compare many other drives in the market before buy. However, this was the cheapest option for the given 250 gigs capacity. My mac is all new and awesomely fast now. I absolutely have fallen in love with it once again. The drive is great and I haven't had any issues. Didn't test copying speed though. But generally, I am totally satisfied.

I've purchased these same SSDs from Samsung for at least two years now. The EVO series has always been very reliable to me. I've even gone as far as to buy two of these for a 2012 MacBook Pro and installed them in RAID 0 for 2x the speeds of an already insanely fast SSD! I can't recommend this product enough!

I did some research and the Samsung drives are highly rated. I wanted to give new life to my 2011 Macbook Pro and watched a YouTube video on how to install it. I was a little nervous but it worked and this drive really improved my computer. It boots up in no time and I feel like I have a more reliable machine now. Thanks!

Purchased this SSD while it was on sale - well worth the money I spent. Boot time for my Win10 PC dropped from >20 seconds to <8. Load times for Fallout 4 dropped from 45 - 60 seconds to less than 10. The only issues I have with this is the utility for transferring from your old HDD isn't very robust (I only wanted to move the boot sector to this drive) and I wish the 500GB version hadn't been out of stock. Pros: So much faster than a standard HDD Easy to install Cons: Data transfer utility does not allow for selective copying - it is just a standard cloning software (so if you have more data than the capacity of the SSD it will not be able to transfer). If you can afford it, step up to the bigger drive

If raw speed is what your looking for, this is the drive to get. You cannot beat the price\performance you get from an SSD, period. This one steps up that game. If an SSD were Nitrous for your car, this SSD would be Super Nitrous.

After I installed the SSD my old laptop became new. With a 250GB capacity, this Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E250B internal Serial ATA hard drive provides plenty of space and above all I do not have to wait any longer for my OS to start.

i bought one for my desktop,one for laptop-blazing speeds on both now! boot time 10-15 seconds,all processes going much quicker now- couldn't be happier! you may want to get a usb 3.0 to sata adapter cable to clone the hard drive- very simple process!

Replacing my old worn hdd was very easy once I was able to clone my new ssd. Once I fired it up my mac ran like a charm like it used when I first bought it. So happy with my new purchase I would definitely recommend the Samsung ssd

All Samsung EVOs I have purchased have been reliable and fast. The price of SSDs has come down significantly over the past few years, which is really nice.

I purchased this drive to replace my RAID-0 raptors I have had forever, at first I just wanted to see if it could compete, it didn't compete at all, it surpassed my raptors, I am running a high PC that I built 8 years ago, no so high end anymore. Now my system boots in 10 seconds, and it screams like it is a brand new computer. This drive is absolutely amazing and very fast. If you on the bench get off it and pick one of these up, they are amazing.

Use this for my one year old laptop. Most laptop's you buy these days have slow hard-drives in them. This drive is quite and fast, I went from a 45 second boot time to about 5 second.

I purchased this to replace my boot drive on my WHS 2012 machine. Works great and gave me a nice bump in speed. Only problem I ran into was attempting to mount the drive via a SATA to USB connector (for the initial image). It seems that the drive did not receive sufficient power from this interface (my PNY SSD has no problem). Made me think I had a problem with the drive. Deducted one start for this.

As a computer engineer, Samsung is my defacto standard for SSDs. I have purchased dozens of the EVO 850 in all sizes and in both m2 and 2.5" laptop form factors. There are utterly reliable and just plain work. I use these in my customer's equipment knowing that I have installed the most reliable product possible - I mean, who wants to warranty a failed product constantly? Samsung has several different SSD product lines available based on speed and performance, so check with a product specialist to make the best choice

When I bought my laptop, out of the box my boot time was 3 minutes. I tweaked my laptop and dropped the boot time to 2 minutes. Once I installed the EVO SSD, my boot time is now some 20 seconds. YMMV. The install is easy but you will need an adapter cable to go from your laptop's USB to the SSD when performing the cloning operation. This in not contained in the SSD box. Have the proper screwdriver and insure it is of good quality. Take your time, be sure you ground yourself to remove static charge before you start. This is a super performance enhancement.

Got this at a great price from Best Buy. These drives look great and work really well! Makes computers both new and old run very fast which is great!
