I considered purchasing the PRO version of this SSD drive but opted for the EVO version and am very happy with the decision as this product (along with it's cloning/transfer software) exceeded my expectations. The (included) Samsung Cloning software made it a breeze to update my WIn7Pro laptop.

Has very good reviews, fast, thin, very good software and five year warranty. Easy to set up and install. Performance is fast. Installed two drives already. Will be buying and installing more. Mentioned this drive to a friend, he purchased one also and is very impressed.

I decided to save the money and buy the 850 EVO instead of the 850 Pro after reading reviews. Glad I did. Upgraded a HDD with this SSD, and now it runs lightning quick. Much bigger difference than when I upgraded the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB. Great upgrade at a great price.

bought this to put into a 4 year old Dell 'desktop'. Yes, these drives work in any computer that is SATA and uses the small Sata connectors. So doesn't matter if it's a notebook or desktop. There are no exposed conductive parts (like the old HD's have), so you don't have to 'mount' it in the chassis (but there are aftermarket mounting brackets if you prefer), just set it in a drive bay and duct tape it! The connectors plug in, and it runs. THAT easy. You'll boot up really fast and you'll wonder why you didn't do this ages ago . Cloning (if replacing a working drive) software that comes with it works well, no genius IT required!

I use a Core i3-based laptop for astrophotography, and this SSD made a noticable improvement in the speed and responsiveness of that PC. I've only had it a short time so I can't speak to the longevity/reliability, but I appreciate the significant bump in performance.

This product works great. My Mac is super fast now. The Best Buy rep walked me through my options very thoroughly and was very knowledgeable in the product. I’m happy with with the Samsung 850 EVO. More importantly, I’m happy I chose to purchase it through Best Buy

This sst works perfectly. The software is easy to use to clone the hard drive. The installation is simple once you open the laptop. It makes my laptop way faster!

Replaced the Hitachi slow HDD in my Dell XPS laptop with this SSD. Immediate overall speed increase, no test required to see that. SSD sped up bot h games and graphics intensive calculations on all programs including AUTOCAD and Photoshop. Well worth the cost.

Surprised how easy it is to image old drive and copy to this. YOU MUST HAVE A SATA TO USB CABLE to mirror your old drive (sold separate). Laptop loads in about 20 seconds vs few minutes. Other performance for internet, file saving, etc. is minor. Runs slightly cooler than old HDD

I chose the Samsung Evo 850 after lots of research into SSD'S and this drive provided the best overall quality and performance for the price. When combined with a 16gb RAM upgrade, I was able to make a high end laptop out of a mid range $400 Toshiba also purchached at Best Buy!

Added this SSD to my laptop, Dell Latitude. Had to upgrade the BIOS. Wow, boot-up speed and on-line in 20 seconds. All my apps boot much faster. Recommended by my son after he upgraded to SSD on his gaming computer. Hope my work upgrades their computers.

The sleek design, complemented by it's stylish labeling makes Samsung's EVO brand VERY desirable for both open and closed-case computer builds. It has lighting fast transfer rates followed by impeccable, nearly failure-free infrastructure. If you never had the chance to upgrade your Mom's box of rocks with an SSD - dont; as the sudden jolt of speed she'll experience booting up & opening her favorite bingo game might put her in the hospital. The narrative might be a joke, but this SSD is NOT. Do yourself a favor, buy this SSD, & get EVERYTHING done... 30% faster.

SSD was used to speed up 5 years old laptop. Provided cloning app from samsung was usefull to transfer all data from old HDD. Installation of SSD was easy. Now laptop is much faster and more responsive. Overal I am very satisfied with SSD.

I was very to happy to buy five pieces of this Samsung solid state hard drive at Best Buy's sale price of $89.99. After upgrading more than 10 laptops with WD 250 Blue SSDs I see a slight speed increase in the machines with Samsung's drive.

Macs are easy to set up as always. Product works great and is fast. Comes with PC software to transfer!! Just need SATA to USB adapter cable.

I installed this in my Asus AMD A10 Laptop. I used to rarely use my laptop because it seemed so slow, it often took well over 2 minutes to boot up even after a clean install of windows 8.1, now it takes at most 5 seconds to get to the desktop from a cold start.

Very fast and convenient pickup. I upgraded a pair of small used laptops and gifted them to a pair of young girls. You should have seen the pleasant smiles as these sped through all of what they wanted to do with their "New" laptops.

I run very heavy duty IDE's on my deaktop, one of them is Visual Studios 2017. The boot time for the pc is almost instantaneous and the load time for the IDE's is much faster than on a conventional HDD. I am enjoying this SSD very much.

Long story, but bought this SSD as my hard drive was giving me fits. I installed Windows 10 on it as well as my applications; kept the data on the hard drive. The computer now just screams. No problems with it and the price is great.
