This drive changed my 08 MacBook Pro back to a work horse. Very rarely do I have the spinning beachball. It was easy to install and clicks along rapidly. Great investment.

I installed this in my custom built PC after having some hard drive issues and it has worked pretty amazingly! Since installing I've ran into zero problems with my computer being laggy playing certain games. overall great SSD and the price to go along with that.

I got it to replace the HD in my PS4 Pro. Boot up is instant and everything is just snappier and faster. Downloaded games run completely silent. I love it.

I purchased this SSD because my 4 year old computer was running slow. After installing the included software, and cloning my old HDD, my old computer is quite fast - much faster than it's ever been. I only wish I'd purchased a SSD, for this computer sooner!

Booting my PC takes about 10-12 seconds from being completely shut off. I am so impressed so far with the SSD I am about to purchase a second and third drive for more storage. I plan on going to two more of these same SSD's from Samsung. Great product highly recommended!

This is the drive I installed a clean version of Windows 10 Pro in my custom gaming PC and WOW. Turn on my PC, turn on my monitor and speakers, and I'm at the login screen. Loading screens in games are flying by. No complaints or recommendations for improvements as of yet.

We upgrade all of our customers to solid state drives. We started when the Samsung 750's came out, and now 850's give us the same reliability, with a significant performance boost. The drive helps decrease the boot time drastically, and allows applications to launch almost instantly. The Samsung data migration software is wonderful, very user friendly, some of the best cloning software I've used.

installed this in a 6 yr. old Sony Vaio laptop. The software that comes with this drive, for cloning the existing drive, works well, easy to use. Understand that it likely will take several hours to clone, so pick your time wisely for when you do this. Performance difference for boot up, wake up, everything, is likely 10 times faster. It's like having a new machine. Physical installation was easy, just requires care handling the tiny screws and inserting in the small connectors. Buy it, you'll really like it. You'll want to swap out all your hard drives on everything you own!

My mechanical hard drive crashed. Unplugged old hard drive plugged in new hard drive reloaded Windows, Linux went back to work. The only thing not quite straight forward I had to shim the new hard drive with a piece of foam because it was smaller

The guy I go to for help with my laptop recommended this hard drive to me, and I was shocked at what a difference it made with my computer. Startup time is just seconds (instead of minutes), and web browsing is a breeze. I highly recommend it!

I was looking for a SSD to replace my current SSD to increase size and speed and this thing does both it is noticeably faster then the current SSD I had , and was super easy to setup with the free software that is included it made it fast easy.

Bought this one to replace an old Sandisk SSD, so, I was expecting same performance... it is just an SSD replacing another one... oh boy..!! far from true, this one is blazing fast.. I mean, I can tell the difference .. and that's something.

Wow. Seriously. If you're looking for an SSD for your aging laptop, get this one immediately. Thanks to this SSD I was able to revive a 5 year old Sony Vaio (purchased in 2012, 8GB of RAM, i7, 500GB hard drive). Before researching for SSDs, I was considering buying a brand new laptop as I was sick and tired of dealing with my old Vaio. Little did I know that a simple hard drive swap would solve ALL the issues. Long story short, my computer had been acting up for at least 2 years. I didn't really care much because I had been using a company laptop all this time; however, every time I wanted to deal with personal work on my Vaio, the computer would take forever for simple tasks like opening chrome, firefox, word, excel, etc. I noticed that disk usage was at 100% constantly and that was the culprit of the issue. I googled several ways to solve this issue. I was surprised to find out how common this was on old non-SSD hard drives. I literally tried at least 10 things like activating/deactivating things on the command line, updating drivers, etc. NOTHING worked. Disk drive would still be at 100% constantly. I'm glad I researched SSDs as it saved me thousands of dollars instead of buying a brand new laptop with the specs that I wanted (i even thought about getting a $2,800 mac). I pulled the trigger when I concluded that the culprit of the issue was my hard drive, so I decided to give the SSD a shot. If it didn't work, I thought, I could return it and try other things. In addition, the installation was extremely easy. It took me probably 30 minutes altogether. You only need screwdrivers, the smaller size kind. I had read some reviews that the SSD did not come with a case. While that is correct, my laptop already had a case where the old SSD was sitting, so this did not affect me. It was literally just a swap utilizing existing screws. Finally, I did not use the data migration software as I had transferred all my data to an external hard drive in advance. I did a clean Windows 10 installation on the SSD and all my problems were solved. Bottom line: get this SSD if you're tired of the slowness of your aging computer. I can finally turn on my Sony Vaio again and get to work in seconds. I've been using this new SSD for a month now and the performance is simply outstanding. If you have any questions, let me know! I'm extremely satisfied and I'm trying to convince my dad to do the same thing on his also old laptop.

I put off buying a solid state drive because I thought it to be hype. Since the prices have come down some I decided to buy one. Man! After I installed windows 7 I noticed much faster boot up time, faster loading, faster performance. It's not hype. Buy this one and you will be happy with it. I bought more after and now all of my laptops perform better!

My 4 year old Dell XPS 8700 running on Core i7 3.40 GHz with upgraded 12 GB RAM Memory starts to run slow, I am about to considering buying a new computer but I realized with the specs I have right now should be a decent Fast Configuration. So I bought Samsung - 850 EVO 500GB, very easy to install and cloning data is a easy with the provided software. Now my computer is SUPER FAST like a brand new computer, I am very happy with the SSD Upgrade and saves me a lot of money for not buying a new computer. Buy the Samsung - 850 EVO 500GB you won't regret it!

Upgraded my 2012 MacBook Pro 13' with this SSD. Was very smooth data transfer and installation. Took 25 mins to install and secure to the MacBook and about 1-2 hrs to install OS X and move files over. No problems so far, boot speed is redicluously fast.
