I replaced my 320GB hard drive that came in my MacBook Pro from 2011. This drive was easy to install (as long as you use care and move slowly), and once installed my MBP is like new. In reality, it is much faster than it was brand new. I would recommend this upgrade to anyone thinking about upgrading their laptop. Start with a SSD and see your speed increase exponentially! Now iTunes, iPhoto, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc all open lightning fast.

I recently purchased by laptop and was looking into purchasing an ssd to speed it up. I've had it for about 2 months now and I can honestly say the speed increase in my computer is amazing. Boot up times, apps,you name it. Definitely recommend this buy.

I bought this ssd for my new HP Envy laptop and had Geek Squad install it. I'm amazed how fast it made my computer. From the time I turn the power on to ready to surf is like 10-12 seconds. Which I think 4 or 5 of those seconds is the 3d camera recognizing my face to log on. I have yet to see my computer buffer for more than a second or two. This has made my already fast computer lightning fast. Download speeds are unbelievable. I highly recommend this drive if you want to speed up your computer and enjoy super fast download speeds. Buy it you won't regret it.

Adding an SSD is a great way to renew a slow computer. The Samsung is very fast, and can be an alternative to buying a new computer, as long as the rest of the hardware is still functional, and the machine is free from malware.

WAs ready to give up on my PC. Thought I would have to purchase a new PC but upgrading to the SSD gave new life and speed to my PC. Quite happy with not only the drive but the installation the was performed by the Geek Squad.

This is a great drive. An SSD greatly speeds up the boot and responsiveness of my laptop. With 500 GB, there is enough storage for everyday things, but I do push off photos to an archive drive (which helps with safekeeping).

Upgrading to a SSD is a no brainer. My start-up time is reduced to about a second. Apps load faster, files open faster, everything is faster. This is the most cost-effective upgrade you can make to your laptop. Samsung EVO drives are top notch. My computer's drive controller is actually slowing the drive down. I only get about 280MB/sec read rate rather than the 540MB/sec that the drive is capable of, but that is due to the controller, not the drive. Still unbelievably better than the speed of my old school drive.

I used it to build a home theather computer and it works great. Fast and reliable. No more wait for computer to boot up any more.

My laptop is old and I am not a techky, I just wanted my computer to run without having to buy another one. I bought this hard drive, a friend helped me install it & it works great. AND my computer is so much faster.

I replaced my hard disk drive with this, loaded windows onto it, and it runs very well. Startup time is a few seconds and it’s consistently fast with launching apps and overall performance. Great drive for the price.

I bought a Samsung 840 back in 2013 when SSDs were fairly new to the market, and I couldn't have made a better purchase. That SSD has lasted me 3 years, with heavy use, and is still going to this day with 7+ TB written to it (data gathered from SMART reporting through Samsung's 'Magician' software). I bought this SSD for a new gaming rig I was putting together and it has been, like my last, zippy, helping me to not even notice that it's there. In my view there is no better SSD manufacture on the market than Samsung.

I own a computer repair shop for years now, I have put around a hundred of the Samsung Evo 850's into clients computers and love them, they are the fastest of the sata ssd's. It will make your old computer fast again!

Excellent size, speed, and profoemance for any application. Increased boot time and battery life on laptop reduced heat output.

I have the Samsung 840 Evo and Samsung 850 Evo. I bought the 840 to put in my PS4, and it was amazing. Bought the 850 to replace it, and put the 840 in a laptop. No matter what you use these for, they are amazing. Extremely fast!!

Compared to HDD, this definitely made things process a lot faster and reinstalling and move Windows 10 took no time at all. Highly recommend any one considering to just do it, if you have the budget to afford one!

This is a well made, quality product. No problems, worked perfectly, Noticeable performance improvement over traditional mechanical hard drive when frequently accessed files are kept on this drive. For installation in a desktop computer, consider getting the $9.99 Insignia adapter/bracket. It will save a little time and effort. But, since a SSD is small and light, and orientation is not critical, there is a lot of flexibility in mounting locations and we were able to install it easily without the bracket.

The Samsung Solid State Drives are an excellent solution for extending the life of older laptops & desktops. The speed of these drives cuts down boot up time and application launching by a very noticeable level.

Never had a ssd before this one, is a very great upgrade. Everything loads super quick. I use it for windows and gaming. No mounting hardware included, be sure to know your case and how its being mounted to install it correctly.

I really needed a larger ssd on my computer and my friends recommended me this one. Honestly I was super surprised that it was actually faster than my original ssd. Will keep on buying Samsung SSDs from now on

this is a very fast drive I am very happy with it and have even switched over the drives at work that we use to replace spindle drives from Kingston to the Samsung given the huge improvements for relatively the same amount of money
