Boots very fast and works well. Easy to install. Could have used a spacer to insure a tighter fit but should function well as is.

I did the research on this drive and everyone said they love it. They weren't wrong it's super fast and gets my 6 year old Windows laptop up and running in about 20 seconds (used to be over a minute). It has made it feel new again.

I have not used an SSD in a computer before. THe difference is incredible. Playing games that have longer load times on consoles now seem like all open world with hardly any load times or boot up times. Doesn't make a sound either.

It’s an ssd. It works, and fast too. If you’re looking to get a good one, but want a little more bang for your buck compared to the evo pro, this is a fantastic choice. It’s been great for me so far.

Solid State Drives like the 850 EVO are much more dependable and much -much - much faster than the old mechanical hard drives. Protect them from power surges, heat and water and they will last almost forever. The Samsung 850 EVO is at the lower end of the price range for SSD's and is among the fastest. If you need to replace your original hard drive or if you are looking to speed up your system with a hardware upgrade, the Samsung 850 EVO is highly recommended.

It's like night and day after I switched to a solid state drive. Sales staff was super helpful. I was there to buy more memory and he told me thus would be the much better way to go to speed up machine. He was right!

Wife complaining that her 15 y/o computer was sluggish - duh. While she uses it minimally, when she does use it, she doesn't want to wait around. My 4/o Sandy Ridge i7 machine performing nicely, so rebuilt mine with a Skylake i7, and built hers out with the spare parts. Bought 2 of these, one for each build. As mine was originally set up SSD+HD, I knew it was a screaming machine when putting programs on the SSD and data on the HD. I was not disappointed with the fresh Windows 10 build...and no more complaints from wife about sluggishness. In the rebuild I did discover a slight issue. Mine was no problem as the existing HD was dedicated to data, and just simply hooked it up. Hers was a singe HD with everything on it. When I tried to hook it up as a secondary drive there was a conflict with Windows 10 on the SSD and Windows 7 on the HD and refusing to boot. Ended up buying another HD and transferred the data files to it. All computers should be built that was, SSD +HD!

I installed this on an HP Probook 4520s with Windows 7 and it went flawlessly. The included software worked like a charm and the computer is now the fastest I've ever used. I wish I could say the same about Windows10.

Time to upgrade 128GB SSD to 500GB SSD? Samsung 850 EVO 500GB is the best investment for performance. It's even better with Best Buy's competitive price match policy, the price just gets lower and lower after purchase.

Installed on my wife’s late 2012 MacBook Pro. Her Mac was slow and programs took forever to load. After installing her laptop is blazing fast and everything loads in seconds. Highly recommend!!!

I have a mid 2012 13" Macbook Pro, and the performance gains were immediate after a relatively straightforward hard drive replacement. Boots up in seconds, rare spinning wheel sightings. Instructions for installing are fairly easy to find online; I opted to clone my existing drive by connecting my new Samsung SSD via USB (kit sold separately), then swapping out the old HDD. Be sure to turn off the sudden motion sensor and turn on TRIM for best results. Great bang for your buck!

Most of the good stuff can be read on others reviews so I won't be repetitive but I did find a problem with my laptop (HP m7-n101dx), when I tried to activate Rapid Mode the laptop crashed and could not boot anymore. Thankfully I created a system restore before this so I could restore it to a previous state. No issues after that, so my advice is that, you MUST create a System Restore Point before activating Rapid Mode in the event you run into a problem.

This is a excellent drive that has proved to be a fast and solid drive. The software it came with to clone your drive was easy to use and very quick. I Bought this drive to replace my regular hard drive in my laptop and within an hour i cloned the drive and then remived it and installed the Samsung SSD and was up and running. The drive had been running solid with no issues for several months. Would buy and recommend this product to anyone.

Upgraded to this from a WD 1TB Black drive, my boot times have improved dramatically. Did a clean install of windows 10 from USB 3.0, the install was very quick and all applications start up extremely fast.

Purchased this to replace the original HD in a 4 year old MacBook Pro. I'm so happy, I made this choice to upgrade to a solid state the computer is faster, quieter and just overall a better running machine.

Got out the box of all the laptop hard drives that died over many years to reminisce and make the dollar decision. Big box. So bought solid state this time. Had BBuy Geek son set it up and even he was impressed. Said no moving parts is worth every penny and should be a keeper. We shall see, but I believe his expertise. Go Solid State!!

Picked this up and Best Buy did price matching to make this a great value. Performance is solid. Samsung Magician app handled configuration and set up well. I purchased a USB to SATA cable and plugged in the drive, ran the included imaging software and installed in minutes. In fact, we started swapping drives among other other laptops - I upgraded 3 computers for less than $160.

I was looking to replace a standard HD with a new SSD for speed and this one is doing the job so far. A long warranty does not hurt either. Time will tell.

Installed this in an old laptop with a mechanical hard drive, that used to take 7 minutes to start up. Now it only takes 30 seconds to start up. I would recommend buying this to everyone!
