This hard drive is amazing! I was looking for a new hard drive that I could put in my dad's computer to speed it up, and this one easily does that. My dad's computer is now working a lot faster than ever before and he loves it. No more waiting around for programs to load or actions to process.

I have purchased several Samsung SSD drives and they have all been great. This one is no exception. Brought some much needed speed to an older desktop.

Bought to upgrade HD on my laptop. Had Geek Squad install the SSD. They installed it within 24 hours. Great experience and great item.

This is a great product. Any time I am accessing info or if someone is viewing something on my computer they say, "Wow, look how fast that came up!"

This new SSD is working well. It is much faster than the spinning drive I had and was easy to setup. Came with the necessary software to make the switch easy. Installed it in the extra hard drive bay in my desktop, ran the included software and was up and running in about 1/2 hour. Now using the old hard drive as a backup drive and very happy with this purchase.

This is by far the best upgrade for any pc - My boot times with the SSHD and windows 10 is less that 15 seconds. Well worth the money

My Mac Mini is no longer a paperweight, with this drive it boots up so quickly and my apps come up so much faster then they used to.

I purchased this item because my mid-2012 MBP's original HHD was failing and was extremely slow while multitasking with different programs. I decided to upgrade with the Samsung 850 Evo 500GB and now my old crusty MBP is blazing fast. I can open multiple programs instantly. Not to mention that my boot up time is A LOT faster! Great product.

The Samsung 850 Evo (500gb) is exceptionally fast, and installed flawlessly. It performs much better than my older SSD and I intend to add a couple more of varying sizes when finances will allow me. Highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to increase the responsiveness of their computer. Games and applications load in only a few seconds.

I have many Samsung SSDs. I currently own four of these drives: two 840s and two 850s. So far they have remained reliable and speedy. I have read many reviews on SSDs before settling on the Samsung's. My main driver for me was the chipset driving these. I read too many reviews about SSDs that were fantastic performers for about the first month of ownership and then degraded to typical HDD speeds with little to remedy other than reformatting the drive and starting from scratch. I didn't read any reviews stating this same phenomenon occurring with either Intel or Samsung. Price per performance favored the Samsung drives so I pulled the trigger. My older 840s still operate wonderfully and these newer 850s are still meeting my expectations. My computer activity is a mix of clerical type activities and budget gaming. There are a lot of SSDs on the market that will beat the Samsung in raw performance however my goal was a mix of performance and reliability over the long haul and not the short sprint.

Works great in my restored laptop. Fast!! It is easy to install.

I had a failing hard drive and wanted a solid state drive. A computer shop recommended this drive. It works great with no issues.

Put it in my new HP I7 notebook, it takes only 13 seconds from turn on to go though facial recognition to be able to open a program. That is quick.

Used this on a PC that didn't have a hard drive. Installed windows on it and worked amazingly. Love Samsung SSD. Great Products.

I installed this in my PS4. Make sure to back up your data to a USB drive, and get a flash drive with the PS4 system installer on it. Also, make sure the USB backup and flash drives are FAT32, not EXFAT. (My Mac did the formatting, worked flawlessly.) Physically installing the drive took about three minutes. (See online tutorials. Search for "Best SSD for PS4" and you'll find what I found.) Backing up and restoring takes a long time, but installing the system was quick, and once the backup was restored, it was exactly like the old version, except having to log into PSN and a few other settings, network, etc. Now boot time on my PS4 is way faster, games load faster. Very much worth it.

This was my first time upgrading my hdd to an ssd and now my computer is 5x faster. The transfer process was easy as well love it

Than my old hdd. Boot up, everything is so much smoother and quicker. Well worth the money and probably best upgrade to my Mac to increase speed

Son is using for boot drive. we went SS for it due to the heavy use and SS has little to no moving parts. Unit works well so far.

I have a three year old laptop which had very goods specs at the time (still not bad). But the difference between the HDD that it came with and this SSD is huge. The boot up time, the loading of apps/programs, the added battery life are all amazing. My laptop boots up in about 5 seconds and is immediately ready for anything. What else would I want?

I bought this SSD with the intention of replacing my slow HDD in my 2012 Macbook Pro, and let me just say that the results are amazing. Everything loads so much faster and just overall performance is way better. I used to have to wait at least a few minutes to load Microsoft Word but now it only takes a few seconds, for sure a great investment.
