After purchasing the SSD I immediately installed this bad boy into my PC, installed Windows 10 onto it and booted it up for the first time. Within 10 seconds I had entered my password and was browsing/playing games. I'm forever spoiled by this speed increase and would recommend to anyone trying to speed up slow boot times.

I used this hard drive to upgrade from spinning hard drives for a laptop and a desktop. It was a dramatic increase for a laptop from 2010 and made it seem like new again. On the desktop I replaced a 10,000 rpm drive and was surprised at how much faster it was. I wasn't expecting much of a difference but it was noticeable. Samsung has been touted as a great brand for solid state drives and I'm very happy with this product.

This is by far the best thing you can get the drastically increase the performance of your laptop. I installed it in my Acer laptop and it flies!! The start and restart times are like 4 times faster as well. Do yourself a favor and upgrade your laptop with one of these. You will be happy you did!!

For the price it can't be beat. Very good performance and reliability. Steps up the game of any laptop it's installed in.

Faster than my old drive. Would like it if they included a mounting adapter or something. But not a big deal.

Best way to speed up your laptop is replace the normal hard drive with a solid state drive. Using the samsung SSD is easy.

I needed to replace my hard drive on my 5 year old HP Probook. This SSD drive definitely improved my boot and read write times, noticeable but not as much dramatic as i hoped, not the SSDs fault though as my laptop is not SATA3. Cloning software and install were easy and trouble free.

Years ago, you would've upgraded the RAM in your computer to make it faster. Now the RAM is usually not the bottleneck anymore, it's the hard drive speed! Replacing your hard drive with one of these is a great way to put new life into an old machine. We put this in an older iMac and got great results.

Easy to install. I greatly decreased game load time and increased speed of game just by installing to drive.

This went into an old laptop after upgrading another laptop with a similar SSD. The speed up in start-up time and program loading was as dramatic as it was in the other laptop. The process to transfer the disk image was quick since I already had the needed cable (USB to SATA). I am very happy with this SSD.

Installed this Samsung SSD on my Toshiba P75-A7200 laptop. What a difference. Hit the power on button and in 2 seconds laptop boots up and ready to go. Installation went perfect. No glitches at all. It's like I now have a new laptop for less than $200. Wish I would have purchased one of these sooner.

I have purchased several different ssd's and this is a very good choice. no issues at all with this one!

We use these drives in most of our work laptops, and we've had yet to see one fail. They're fast and reliable. As opposed to some of our PNY drives that have been less stable. If you've got an m.2 slot, you'll probably benefit from one of the faster 960 drives, but you can't beat this for a SATA3 drive.

I went from using a 500 GB HDD to this 500 GB SSD to upgrade my three year old Thinkpad W530. This SSD is really fast, allowing for a boost in boot up time from over 35 seconds to under 12 seconds. I am very happy with the upgrade and I am able to use virtual machines with the extra space and speed.

Love the Samsung SSD. It is fast and gives you plenty of space for more than just the operating system.

Do not waste your money on other brands. Buy the best ssd for the price. I used them on older MacBook Pro or Mac Pro
