The Samsung 850 improves the speed of my Lenovo T510. I was a little disappointed because it does not seem to be as fast as the SanDisk SSD that I put in my wife's Lenovo. And the Samsung cost more than the SanDisk. It was an easy install and the Samsung included software to make conversion easy.

My old hp laptop was taking around 3 minutes to boot and open any application, till i installed SSD. now it takes around 5 to 6 seconds including bootup and opening google chrome.. and setup is also easy , its like you get Hussain Bolt speed to your laptop

Excellent upgrade for any slightly older laptop. I say slightly because at some point the upgrade wouldn't be as practical as to just replace the whole computer. The laptop I upgraded had an issue with the old HHD being flaky and what I ended up having to do to transfer the contents was performing a drive image and restoring to new SSD. The transfer software provided would not work since the old HHD had errors. If you don't have errors then should be no problem. Would have given it five stars if not for the inability of the transfer software not being able to handle the errors on old HHD. This upgrade was well worth it, just do it, you will be impressed and happy.

The best upgrade for a slow computer! Nothing will speed up your old computer like an ssd. Easy to do.

I am please that the SSD I purchased from Best Buy have reduced the boot time, the time to access applications. Overall, the performance have proven to be equal, if not above, what I had hoped for.

This will get you amazing boot times and load times for games. However, if you have a M.2 slot and its available, I would highly suggest the Samsung Evo 960 over this as the read and write speeds are 4x as fast.

Holy cow! Solid state drives are the way to go...faster and smoother than any other drive out there.

SSDs finally have gone down in prices. I used to only get 250gb and below but now the 500gbs are decent priced. Samsung's been always reliable and runs great. Only time will tell if it fails but so far so good.

My Son has one and he likes it. It is very fast he said, so when my Mother board quit working, I decided to go for the Solid State drive and see if it would load up my programs faster, and it does ! Instead of waiting for my original terra byte drive to load anywhere from 6 to 10 minutes, it loads up in seconds instead. I am still using my original Terrabyte drive but now its a D drive while the Solid state is the C drive, I can still access my files, etc as the Geek Squad set up " A Junction" ...Thank Goodness. I was a bit disappointed in not being able to keep all my bells and whistles on my older desk top. It may have been some things that I did not use, but who is to say that I would not? In the future, Right ? Either way the solid state works and it is faster than regular hard drives.

Best Buy had a fair price, and the with online ordering and in store pickup it was quick and simple to buy. Installation and setup were simple and its been functioning perfectly. Really fast and is making my Dell system run much smoother.

I replaced my main hard drive with this SSD. He is much faster and the accompanying software made it easy to replace my main drive (operating system and programs) without an interruption. A recommended upgrade for high performance systems.

Lived up to the hype. Very fast read and write speed. Even on a SATA2 interface. Worth every penny.
