Better than new!

I was amazed at just how fast the laptop boots and over-all performance running multiple programs as compared to before the upgrade. Definitely recommend!!!

needs spacer from 7mm to 9.5mm for older laptop

Maybe at least sell those in same area of SSD drives in the store. System speed is really great after migrating operating system and data. Samsung Data migration program provided used USB to SATA connector (took only <3hrs for 150GB at USB 2.0 speed) which is also not provided. Maybe you can migrate OS using a second drive bay if available. I see caddies that replace the CD/DVD drive so that a SSD can be inserted that way as well. Samsung Magician software just checks SSD for problems, status, I think.

Then all of a sudden my secondary drive (PNY SSD) died on me out of nowhere. I had a PCI SSD set as my primary drive, but when I purchased this drive I made this my primary and the PCI SSD my secondary. So far the drive is working well. It's not quite as fast as the PCI SSD, but it's definitely faster than the garbage PNY SSD. I have not had very good luck with SSD drives. Maybe it's because I was buying ones made in the USA. Everyone that I had that was made in USA, died on me in less than a year. Hopefully this one will last longer than a year. The Samsung Data Migration software worked great. No issues copying data. Started right up when I made the drive my primary. Using drive with Windows 10 Pro.

High Quality SSD at a reasonable price

As ususal, SSD is extremely fast compared to HDD. There is also an application to monitor health of SSD from Samsung (Magician).
