Great drive for fast performance, almost equal read and write speeds. Used this drive to replace old 5400 rpm HDD which was the weakest link on the laptop.5 star performance!

Installed Samsung 850 EVO 500GB Internal Serial ATA Solid State Drive in to Dell Inspiron 11 3000-series and it works GREAT! Installation was a snap. SSD is fast.

My wife's 5400 rpm harddrive was getting slooow. Made an identical copy of it to the new SSD. Now its faster than ever, quick bootup, faster program load time.

I bought this SSD and had the Geek Squad install it in my new HP Omni desktop. I am amazed at how fast the boot up is! So far this SSD is performing very well!

500GB for SSD is great - I can put whatever I want on my main hard drive without worrying about running out of space. Easy to install - 4 screws and the sata cables.

I love these Samsung EVO SSDs. I have several of them in different sizes. Never an issue with any of them. They are blazing fast, too. Everyone should have a collection of them. Best Hard Drive I've ever used.

This harddrive was very easy to install in my laptop and as promised it's very fast. I bought this one to replace a SanDisk and the Samsung has been much better.

I got this drive for my son who built his own computer with a high end motherboard, power supply, graphics card, 120GB SSD etc. I let him use my Apricorn - Data Transfer Cable - Gray cable I got to be able to access laptop drives. He got the software that Samsung provides and simply imaged his new drive directly through USB 3.0. He put the Samsung EVO in and it has performed flawlessly. He is running RAID 1 for his main data storage and was having to delete things from his C: OS drive. Now he has plenty of room and just keeps rocking on his JavaScript ecosystem learning and work.

Went to Best buy and purchased this HD to replace my current MacBook pro HHD. Apps open faster and I dont have to worry about damaging it since it is a SSD.

I have an HP laptop (which are notorious for hard drive failure) it was getting close to two years old and the OEM hard drive was dying and causing reliability issues (system crashes, freeze ups). I replaced that old one with this hard drive and the reliability problems are gone. the weight of my laptop also went down slightly as this SSD weighs less than a conventional hard drive. It also uses less battery power which is also to be expected.

I upgraded to this SSD on a desktop pc. The pc was taking several minutes to load and go between windows. I thought about more RAMS and decided to try a SSD. It takes several minutes to migrate or clone current drive to new drive. Once complete and drives exchanged, computer starts up like it did right after you take it out of the box for the first time. Migration transferred all of my programs and their registry keys too. No problems with opening any files storedirectly on my old hard drive. Pricey now, but worth it. I will be upgrading another desktop with same drive as well.

Took my 5 year old toshina laptop about 3 to 4 minutes to restart before I swapped the hard drive for this ssd. Now it restarts in 30-40 seconds. That included software made it incredibly easy to copy my old hard drive to the new hard drive then simply plug it in and start my computer as normal I would suggest anybody that is wishing to do this on the laptop to buy a hard drive enclosure so they can plug in the new hard drive into the existing computer and use the included software to clone This is an upgrade I would suggest for anyone who's computer can support a SATA hard drive

This is a TLC NAND SSD, and it works well for what I use it for. I use it to import photos from my camera and as a working drive for photo editing. I use it to keep catalogs and sessions of the current project I happen to be working on. So far, I haven't noticed any slow down with regards to transferring to or from the drive. Samsung is one of the leaders in the SSD market, and for a consumer SSD, this drive provides good performance for the price. I've had it for about six months or so now, and I have not noticed it to exhibit similar symptoms to it's predecessor, the 840 Evo.

SSD beats any HDD. I was running out of space for my games and bought this in the store. Same price as the big online retailers without the wait.

I purchased this hard drive because I wanted something that I knew would last a long time. I originally had a PATA hard drive which I did not realize came with my computer. I have always know that SATA was the way to go for longer use, but did not realize that PATA was the standard hard drive installed in a computer; given that I spent so much money on it; it wasn't a cheap computer. My PATA hard drive ended up frying after only 5 short years so I made sure when I got my computer fix to install a SATA drive that should last at least twice as long.

This SSD made my 4 year old computer run LIKE NEW again! Computer boots up in a snap! Wish I upgraded from HDD to SSD a long time ago! I highly recommend!
