I purchased this solid state drive to replace a broken SATA drive. The performance difference is amazing! I highly recommend for anyone that is considering a new laptop to take a look at replacing their spinning disk with solid state instead.

I use these drives for all of my computers and clients computers, they are reliable, fast, and I've never had one fail, ever! Super Recommended.

I put this in my Mid 2010 MacBook Pro to upgrade the speed and performance and it does that and more. Very fast. Very quiet. Very light. Excellent product.

I installed this on a Dell i3 desktop that I recently purchased. I went cheap on the computer processor but the performance was sub par. I replaced the mechanical HDD with the SSD and it's now a well performing desktop. The samsung Magician software is easy to use and it keeps an eye on the SSD. I'm now looking to purchase another one of these drives to replace a macbook hdd. This model of SSD is a little higher quality than the other Samsung drives and I'm confident it was the right decision to pay a little more for higher throughput and reliability.

My HP desktop is about 6 years old and already had a 120 gb SSD but it was running out of space. The reviews were good for the Samsung so I chose it and I used the Apricorn cable and cloning software to install the SSD. It installed perfectly on the first try. This Samsung SSD makes the computer run like new. I'm not a technical person and can't speak to the specifics of the drive other than to say it works well and we are very happy with it's performance.

I had already upgraded my Macbook Pro to the 1TB version of the EVO 850 so when I decided to upgrade my Linux laptop it was a no-brainer. My boot time has been significantly reduced in both machines. I can't compare the performance to other SSDs but imho the price is worth it. I'm absolutely seeing R/W speeds comparable to the specs of 540/Mbps. I'm planning on another laptop purchase this month and have already planned to replace the included HDD with this SSD.

This SSD was the perfect upgrade to the older mechanical drive. Boot up time is so much faster, For games there is an 600% improvement over the older drive.

Using this drive for other files, non OS drive. Install was simple. Works as advertised. Plenty of storage space for what I need. Good price

I bought this SSD to replace the incredibly slow Toshiba 5400 rpm HD that came in my Samsung laptop. With the old HD the laptop took about two minutes to bootup from a complete off state. With this SSD it boots in less than twenty seconds and responds immediately to keyboard inputs. With the old HD you had to wait until all boot programs loaded before you could even start using the laptop. The cloning software that comes with the drive worked flawlessly and the accessory software to tailor the SSD to your system was easy to use and helped to make the system stable and fast.

Easy installation. Just popped out old hard drive and SSD fit perfectly. Extremely fast boot time to Win 10--under 10 seconds. Highly recommend.

If you're looking at buying this, just do it. Sure, the others are cheaper, but Samsung has some of the fastest speeds and is as reliable as they come.

i had a SSDHD but the SSD is 110% faster normal hd my win 10 took like 3 min to fullly be done with booting ssd only took like 15 sec wroth every penny

Used many of them to include Sandisk and western digital. Samsung tops them, the drive is quiet, fast, and efficient. More expensive but worth it.

Have been using Samsung SSDs for over 8 years and this one just as good as all there previous models. They don't disappoint, fast and reliable!

5 star if it came with brackets to install in tower case but performance is excellent!

So far, I haven't had any issues with this SSD. Speeds are approx. as advertised. Got this when it was on sale so great performance for the price.
