I bought this to put in a Lenovo G50 laptop. I had reservations initially because I wasn't sure how long I would keep the laptop after having owned it for a year. What I can say is that this was a great purchase. As expected it is very fast and cut down on load times tremendously. Makes you wonder why they bother putting 5200rpm hard drives in computers as the main drive anymore. Anyway, you won't be disappointed. Great buy. Maybe even a Best Buy ;)

Used this drive to add some much needed performance to a dell laptop. Even tho it only had an i3, the computer boots much faster with the SSD.

I love the drive! It is easy to install and I have absolutely no problems with it at all. It is everything you expect out of a Samsung SSD drive.

This SSD is super fast. Samsung makes transferring the data extremely simple with their included software. Be aware if you going to use this in a laptop that you need the laptop version of the product or a USB converter cable to transfer the data using their software. Otherwise you would have to do it yourself manually using some type of external hard drive. The drive itself is extremely fast. Startups take a matter of seconds rather than minutes. Samsung also includes some optimization tools that seem useful and not just bloatware. Great device!!!

I have numerous Samsung SSDs for my different systems (11 HD in one video production system). Love it. Stable, fast, durable. The only brand I buy.

I picked this one because of product reviews both here and on other sites. I recommend it. It's blazing fast and, so far, has been very reliable.

Just purchased my 2nd unit and the throughput and operable lifespans of these SSD's are definitely better than most of the other brands out there. If you're looking for a sizeable drive for an active machine - whether that's gaming or video or audio production, these things can keep up with the most demanding workflows! I've only had 1 start getting sluggish (came from a bad batch) and caught it before data loss occured, Samsung's tech support is super fast and generous enough to allow an RMA before the drive is actually dead.

The 850 EVO SSD is fast and very easy to setup. The price is good for a 500GB drive and the price/performance rivals that of the 850 Pro.

The drive is super fast, easy to install and lets your computer open to the main screen exceptionally fast. I would highly recommend this drive.

Bought for older computer so I didn't expect the speed increases that I got, very fast and I like no hard drive noise.

Has been working great no issues. Be sure to use Samsung Drive Magician after install to get the highest speeds. Just google for the best settings.

The disk was purchased to replace an internal desktop drive. Performance is much faster. The disk works best with SATA 3. I have a SATA 2 motherboard. The provided installation software works under two conditions: you have a simple disk (convert from dynamic) and the source disk is smaller than the destination. I needed to shrink my source file-system using the same software used to convert from dynamic to simple/basic disk.

I bought this SSD for my laptop with high expectations and it did not disappoint! The speed is amazing! The boot time is less than 30 seconds!

This is probably one of the best ssd drives on the market for replacement drives.

I've used a variety of ssd drives since they were released several years ago. Of them the most reliable has to be the Samsung drive. This one in particular is no exception. Most of the drives out there don't match what this thing can do. Performace and realiability on this thing is amazing. Samsung also has stellar warranty in case this thing ever fails (very unlikely). Thing to note , it does not come with mounting brackets for desktop configurations. I didn't use the copy software that comes with it as I performed a fresh install with it.

This is a solid, reliable, fast and relatively inexpensive ssd. I have used the evo series for over 4 years. Haven't had one fail yet.

Purchased this product to replace hard drive in 8+ year old computer. It's now the fastest in the house. Boots up in seconds - highly recommend.
