This is the second Samsung SSD that I've bought and I've been very happy with both. The first one I bought I cloned my Windows computer, then I loaded Ubuntu on it. Then I cloned my Mac on to it. Then I went back and forth between Windows and Ubuntu and it's still going strong. After that, I won't look anywhere but Samsung when I need a SSD. The Samsung migration software works great but you'll need to get a dock for the physical connection while doing the migration/cloning.

Finally upgraded to this SSD from a hybrid hard drive. Definitely notice the quicker start up speed. I’m running the SSD for all my main programs and a HDD secondary drive for my pics,video,music etc

This SSD is in my mind the best on the market. Fast and reliable. Love the data transfer software that comes with it.

I research this ssd "Samsung - 850 Evo 500gb Internal Serial Ata Solid State Drive For Laptops" for a longtime on very different web-pages and asked my friends for there experience. I chose it over cheaper versions because of the lifetime and speed. It is not as expensive as the PRO version (10 year warranty) because I need it only to last 5years as an upgrade in my old laptop. After 5 years i will buy a new laptop and by then they will have better hard drives and software.

No regrets buying this hard drive. It work as stated and my laptop is much faster and happier.

I have multiples of these and have never had any issues. Best bang for your buck.

Great update for my Win 7 PC. Cloned over my original WD drive to this SSD and swapped out the old mechanical drive. No problems so far. Used the Samsung optimization CD with it too. A tremendous speed boost in all program load times. Just like getting a new machine at less cost.

Fast and reliable for the price. Nice upgrade for my desktop boots up in seconds!! Would definitely buy another...

Great SSD currently in a raid array with my old 840 Evo. Very aghast SSD.

Extremely quick OS startup and data transfer. The only thing you need to know is that this device needs to be setup prior to installing into your PC. If i knew this upfront, it would have saved me an hour :(

This solid state drive is replacing my old drive on my lap top. I wanted less heat and as fast of a drive that I could get. I installed windows 7 pro with no problems. The os install seemed to take just as long as with the standard drive, but now that every thing is installed its fast. This is my first solid state drive so I have nothing to compare to right now as far as longevity.

The Samsung EVO 500GB was easy to install, works like a champ and came with a free game that i gave to my nephew.

I tried different vendors and samsung ssd's are one of the fastest and more reliable. Even a evo works perfect.

Install and mirroring of the drive went perfectly, drive has not given me any issues, very fast and reliable.

I love this SSD for upgrading older MacBook pros that don't need high end SSD speeds. Fast and reliable.

Easy to install, really fast, minimum skill required, 2 year and still working like new

So my computer in the last year had slowed down considerably and was started to annoy me. I looked into upgrading to solid state hard drives and for the money this one was affordable and reliable. Using the apple software was able to easily clone my drive and installed easily. Speed has increased amazingly, start up went from 3-5 mins to 30-45 sec and apps open of much faster. I have only had it for about 2 months and so far no problems have been incurred by switching.

Upgraded from an older 7200 RPM disk to this SSD and boot times increased as well as anything utilizing the disk.

It was very easy to install and the speed is fantastic. I am happy I replaced my normal hard drive with this SSD.

Replaced my laptop hard drive with this. The boot up time was faster.
