My laptop was getting sluggish so when I got a gift card. I decided to try this one out. First I made sure the drive was larger than the one in my laptop. Then used an free drive clone software seemed to work better. The supplied software needed to be upgraded for win 10. When finished the laptop was ready to run about 5 seconds to login prompt and another 5 to full access. Previously the time to ready to run was several minutes.

This is by far one of the BEST SSDs I have used in my computer. They are fast reliable and I have yet to have one malfunction on me. I am a Photographer and I do photo slideshows with After Effects and if you know anything about editing it can take a toll on a PC. I have 3 Samsung EVOs locked into this computer and I could not ask for more... Well I could cause who would turn down more SSDs lol. Pros: WORKS GREAT Con: None at the moment!

I got an enclosure for this and connected it to both my PS4 and Xbox and it works great. Loading times are much faster. Not as fast as it would be on PC but still makes a difference.

This SSD now completes my new build. I'm using two of these Samsung 850 EVOs in a RAID for my D drive with four 2TB internal spinners for scheduled backups along with an external WD Cloud. I have found Samsung's SSDs to be completely reliable with a longevity that rivals none. I wiped my old Samsung 830 SSD for my testing machine; needless to say, it's still functioning great. This is one SSD you should not hesitate to purchase.

I purchased this to insure that my operating system and program files aren't at the mercy of an old technology (having had 3 traditional hard drives fail in the last 5 years). Without moving parts, this should last much longer. Operating system and programs on this, documents in the cloud. Installation was a snap, even moving the operating system was seamless with the included software. Great price for a large enough space for my needs.

Bought this drive to replace my SATA HDD. I will never go back to a non SSD drive now! This thing smokes it’s so fast! Can’t believe what I have been missing out on. Buy one now!

Did wonders for the laptop I placed this in. Went from a 5400 rpm drive to this which made for a very significant upgrade and gave me wizard status with the friend i got this for.

Replaced a 1 TB, 5400 RPM drive with this 500 GB drive. It turned a somewhat of a dog P7 laptop into a Speed Demon. So far, it has been completely reliable. The downloadable utilities on Samsung's website which allowed me to clone my old hard drive to this SSD was insanely easy to use. Great product.

My wife has been complaining about the speed of her Lenovo Edge 2 (i7, 8GB RAM, dedicated graphics card) and thought she had a virus or needed a new computer. Since I stuck this in there she has said her computer has been working way better and said it was fixed. So this solved my problem. This is way better than the rotating hard drive that I replaced. Samsung also does an excellent job a providing a simple solution for coping hard drives.
