My desktop computer is much faster. I plan on buying more to increase speed on laptops and desktops

This is my second one I've bought, no not because of issues but because I loved my first one. I still have my original and it still works great. SSDs are worth every penny bring new life into an old system or make a new system amazingly quick. This also happens to still be one of the best there is.

I work at an IT company and we have been using these drives to upgrade customer laptops. Finally decided to upgrade mine and glad I did. Easy to clone the existing hard drive. The HARD part was installing it in my Lenovo laptop (which was not at all the fault of Samsung). I did not check to see how the drive would be installed, and I needed to partially disassemble it. Fortunately I was able to find the appropriate tech manual online which gave step by step instructions for doing the installation. I still needed to watch a YouTube video several times regarding re-attaching the ribbon cables on the keyboard. Long story short - this is a GREAT upgrade to your laptop (or a desktop for that matter). Check to see just how difficult it would be to install before buying. It was a 2 minute process on all my previous laptops. Took much longer on this one. Although I am really glad that I did the upgrade, I may have passed if I had known how difficult it would be to replace the old drive.

I'm running these in both laptops as well as a 10TB SAN and they are lightning fast and pretty reliable. If they fail and you are on RAID, no biggie. Replacement is cheap

Recently installed this in my mid 2010 Macbook Pro and love it. Went from 250 gb to 500 with this upgrade. Plenty of space and things load much faster. As a side bonus my mac is cooler too. No HD spinning wild inside anymore! I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade the HD in their computer.

I bought several of these drives for use in laptops and towers. For the towers you have to use mounting kits. Transferring Windows to a relatively smaller drive takes some effort, but when you turn on your computer and you are on the internet within 10 seconds, you will realize it's well worth the effort!

Samsung SSD's are simply the best consumer SSD available. There are some models newer than this one, but it's difficult to make a mistake when deciding on Samsung. The device installed, formatted, and I cloned my previous c: drive perfectly to this new SSD. Great solid state disk! Why buy any other brand?

Easy installation: unscrew hard drive, pull out, insert SSD, screw. - Way better than hearing that noisy hard drive! - Boot up time is way faster. - Well worth the money

I would highly recommend this solid state drive. Very good quality and fast data transfer speeds.

My laptop was getting slower and slower and it was becoming very frustrating because it took a long time to open applications. I decided to get this SSD from Samsung and now my laptop is even faster than when I bought it brand new. This is a must have if you want to bring life into any old laptop.

Laptop starts up quickly. No issues so far. Geek squad was amazing and answered all my questions.

I've always had mechanical hard drive, but never again. After many replacements and lost pictures, I hope this one will be good to me. It's definitely more quieter than a mechanical hard drive.

Samsung has always had great drives and good warranty's. I was so thrilled with the performance, that gave my laptop new life, that I plan on buying another one. Wish I could buy a bigger one but I'm going to have to wait till they come down in price, but it definitely will be a Samsung for sure.

My computer was running slow, and I was running out of memory. Researched hard drives and decided this one was a great choice without breaking the bank. The Geek Squad installed it and ran complete diagnostics. Now the computer is running like it's brand new! Didn't lose any data or files.

If you haven't gone solid state HD you are missing out. It's fast... I mean FAST. You'll find boot and load times are dramatically reduced. This will make you happy. And the fact these things are coming down in price so much just make life better! Just do it.

My wife’s MacBook Pro suddenly stopped powering on. Then would not charge. Finally found it was her hard drive that failed. Best Buy was able to recover some data and installed this new ssd. What a world of difference in boot up times and overall speed.

Uses normal SATA III interface and was recognized by computer with no problem. Tried to use the Samsung cloning software, but it failed, as many others have found. Finally used MiniTool Partition Wizard Free, which worked flawlessly. HP workstation is now noticeably faster with disk accesses.

This thing was very easy to install and works unbelievably fast (for my desktop PC it required a adapter to fit in the regular hard disk bay but you can get those everywhere). I was unable to clone my old hard drive because it had crashed but that feature can save a lot of time if you can use it
