After loading up a fresh copy of windows 10 I was surprised by the speed of this drive, its so much faster than the solid state I had before, I actually ran out of place on it it was only a 64gb .. this is so much faster and the file transfer software that came with it works great.

Bought this to update a 5 year old laptop and it made it better than new. It boots up in 8 seconds or less, and file transfers take a few seconds to a few minutes rather than before where it took up to an hour. It also has more space than my old spinning hard drive, and was dirt cheap. Great buy.

The hard drive on my laptop stopped working, so I replaced it with the solid state Samsung. I've used it for a week so far, and found the extra cost to be worthwhile. I had the geek squad install it, and the new hard drive runs smoothly with significantly increased speed. Loving it.

This is one of my favorite SSD's on the market. I buy at least 4 of them a year for my office.

Read/write speeds and the warranty are why I ended up choosing this product. It is very fast, and given the warranty I am going to be covered till I want to upgrade. There is almost no wait time on anything. Match this with enough RAM, and you will be able to run all the programs you want.

So I decided to give my aging desktop a performance boost by installing a ssd as the boot drive. I've had experience in the past with Samsung ssd's and decided on this one. What a difference! Boot time is a fraction of what it used to be (7200 rpm WD drive). Couldn't be happier :-)

Computer boots in seconds instead of minutes. But it and you will notice a big difference on your windows pc

good product but it was one of the hightest listing price for this particular harddrive how ever Bestbuy did do a price match for me just remember to check other stores when purchasing hardrives as the price fluctuates frequently

The speed increase in my 2012 MacBook pro is incredible. I would guess it's around 4 fold. I later upped the ram from 4 to 8gb, but the increase speed was marginal for that upgrade. If you want to juice any laptop up and make it feel new, this is where to spend you money.

So far so good. Installed this into a desktop PC and did a clean re-install of OS. Kept all data files on HDD. Easy install and no issues so far. Definite speed improvement as compared to running OS on HDD. Samsung Magician tool is pretty nice and simplifies configuration and set up.

This is the second SSD I’ve owned, and like my previous drive, Windows loads so much faster when installed on one of these. And of course any programs/files also on the drive load quickly as well. They are more expensive than a traditional drive but are worth the investment.

This drive is great. I've had other smaller SSDs, but the software that comes with this drive made it great. Easy to clone the other drive and drop this one in. The software told me to make some changes to optimize the drive with my hardware. Also, size alone is reason to upgrade

it is just a good company that makes good ssds. I have never had any issue with this brand

I bought this literally the day before the new 860 EVO came out. Yes it will work perfectly fine, but why not get the new version that is rated to last twice as long in total writes? I still gave it a 5 star cause it's an awesome SSD. Samsung makes one of the best.

I bought this SSD based on reviews that mentioned reliability. I will admit, I had an experienced friend install it, and copy my old drive to the new SSD. So, I can't comment on ease of install. My Lenovo Y410P now boots up in a minute, when it used to take over 5 minutes. .

I've already have 2 Samsung 850 Pro SSD, bought this one just for some extra storage and some games and files that I don't use as often. Performance wise it's hard to tell the difference, main difference is that this SSD has 5 year warranty, while the 850 Pro has 10 year warranty.

Samsung vnand technology is worth it no one has anything close at this moment as vfast as these hard drives they can boast they can, but if you want the real deal this is the one. 500gb is a great size as well with all the cloud storage out there right now to compensate for the size.

First experience with an SSD. It was an easy replacement for my existing hard drive. It was cheaper to order on their website and pickup in-store than it was to walk in and purchase onsite. Was pleased to see that Windows 10 recognized it as an SSD and that it adjusts some operating system parameters to optimize. Disk defragmentation isn't really important on an SSD. I did need to purchase a 3.5" inch tray adapter which wasn't available at Best Buy but I picked it up online cheap.

Samsung always has quality SSDs. I had an earlier model that's been running smoothly with no issue and decided to add more storage with this one. Installed it about a month ago and loaded my OS onto it, no issues so far.
