I got this to replace my smaller SSD. I would definitely say don't get one smaller than this. But it's amazing how quick things open with this type of hard drive.

So far I haven't had any problems. I notice a small increase in speed when booting up and much faster when saving files.

Options and Settings couldn't have been easier. My whole PC now runs more fluid. I recommend Pale Moon as a browser... I still run chrome too depending on the job.

Samsung makes some of the best SSDs and this one is no exception. My client was very happy with this upgrade in her computer - it's faster than when it was brand new.

Competitively priced and is a top performer on several benchmarks. I have had zero issues with this SSD. One of the best read and write times, even above it's class.

Looking for an SSD for a while now, and was afraid of the limited read/write cycles. Turns out I don't have to worry for QUITE some time with this one, and I hope to be using it for many years to come. Initializing it took a fair bit of time, however, since the included software disc did not do that. It comes with a data transfer and cloning software, but it is rather lethargic sorting through over 1 GB of data on the source disk. Found out I could initialize the SSD in Windows' own Disk Management, and moved over the games and programs that I wanted manually, and easily.

I bought this SSD for my laptop after it was becoming slow and now the laptop performs better than it ever has. Highly recommend for basic simple easy instalation

What a great way to bring life to an older box. My main desktop is a respectable quad-core that just smokes with the SSD for the OS boot drive and programs.

I found the drive to be overpriced but reliable and dependable. It would've been nice to have the new video game systems have this already pre-installed.

Had to replace my hard drive. I knew right away that I wanted a solid state hard drive. Decided to go with the Samsung - 850 EVO 500GB. I am very happy with it.

This was a replacement for a smaller SSD in my Lenovo T430s. The performance of the drive is excellent - once it is properly installed. The process Samsung uses for their cloning software is NOT compatible with partitioned hard drives. I had to manually restore (using an additional cable) multiple times before everything was back to the original state. Good luck!

This drive is very fast. I needed to replace a failing M.2 drive and I can't tell the difference in speed. I also have Samsung SSDs for my son and daughter's pcs.

Really fast drive. Would make a great upgrade for old or new laptops or even a possible desktop option with the 3.5"-2.5" mount bracket. Samsung got it right!

This hard drive replaced an old regular hard drive. The speed increase is very noticeable. It was worth the money. This was easy to install and install Windows on.

I have 4 of these and there amazing. Fast reliable and they come with the software too transfers all of your files even your os. Just an exceptional product.

I got this to put in my 2012 MacBook Pro. The installation was seamless and it has been working wonderfully. The speed increase has been noticeable.
