One of the best drives on the market, at a fantastic price point. Upgraded an old 64mb ssd and this is not only faster, but large enough to actually install things on! Great investment, and thanks Best Buy for price matching!

I trust the Samsung brand which is why I choose this SSD. Easy to install and migrate the data from my old HDD. The only problem I found is that it does not transfer the Windows OS key code. Not an issue if you still have the code or if you are installing the OS for the first time. I bought a second one for my son. This is the first time I have used an SSD so I hope it last the test of time.

This was like getting a new computer! The speed of this drive is phenomenal! Performance is slightly better that budget SSD's but I would expect this drive will last longer that the budget drives. We use them at the office with zero problems. Installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 went smooth as silk!

I upgraded my laptop from a hdd to a sdd and it is much faster and quieter.

Between my desktop and my wife's laptop I bought with every intention of upgrading. I decided to upgrade my wife's HDD and it turned out to be one of the best decisions because of it now her computer has new life and runs incredibly fast. Also it comes with software that monitors and optimizes the SSD to be maximum efficient as possible. Overall if you're on the fence about this then by all means buy this SSD. You won't regret it.

I don't know how you could go wrong. These are significantly faster than any standard hard drives I've ever used. They use very little power, produce very little heat, take up less space, and are 100% quiet. OS boot time is much quicker as well. I can't find any real cons to speak of at this point.

I waited for some major updates to Windows 10 before I upgraded from my existing Windows 7 install, and when I moved to Win10, I performed a clean install to this SSD, and kept my older "spinner" HD for storage space. I have noticed an improvement in my system's boot time, as well as performance improvements in some games and other apps, which are probably due to a combination of this drive's performance capabilities and the shiny-new Windows install. This drive has performed as perfectly as I expected it would based on my experience with the other Samsung SSD's I own.

This ssd is fast, works great, helps with great boot times and i use it in every build i do.

I installed this in a MacBook Pro mid-2009 (2.53 GHz, SATA-2). It had been running MacOS 10.9, but slowly. I'd heard that the newer MacOS versions expected SSDs instead of HDDs, and their file access needs made HDD use very slow. Once I swapped drives, it was much faster. Sure, the MBP's SATA-2 connection isn't making full use of this SSD's SATA-3 capability, but it's more than fast enough for me (and now MacOS 10.11).

After researching the other SSD's, I went with Samsung due to their higher ratings. The BB store did price matching so I got it for about $20 under the marked price! This was my first drive install so after watching a few YouTube videos, I used the included Samsung CD and cloned the drive via instructions. FYI I had to buy the correct cable from a separate vendor. I think for the price, it is reasonable that Samsung should include it. After that, I removed the bottom of my laptop. The old drive was held in by 4 small screws. I swapped the drives, replaced the 4 screws and plugged the new drive in. Finally, I put the bottom cover back on the laptop and fired it up. It fired right up and I had no errors or problems. My shutdown and startup time went from over 30 seconds with my original drive, to about 7 seconds with the new SSD. Plus programs feel faster now. I am very happy with the drive. Original computer was a 2013 Toshiba Satellite.

Samsung makes a wonderful product in terms of there amazing fast and reliable SSD drives.

... if you're currently running off of an HDD. This SSD has my work PC flying, after I cloned the old hard drive onto it. Which was made very simple by the included software. Just plug the new SSD into your computer's USB port (you will need a dongle for that), launch the software, and tell it to clone your drive and let it do its thing. Swap out the drives, and boom, you're seamlessly using your new drive.

Bought to replace a failing SSD (of another brand). The Samsung was super easy to install and configure- much easier than my previous drive. The Samsung software configuration tool is one of the better. The drive is screamingly fast and really gives my i7 a kick up a notch.

When I updated my 2011 MacBook Pro to OS High Sierra, my laptop was running so so slow. I was debating getting a new MBP. But decided to change out my HDD to an SSD. It was super easy, it just took a while to clone my HDD to SSD. After all is said and done, my 2011 MBP is much much faster with the Samsung SSD along with the upgrade from 4 to 8gb memory. Will have my 2011 MBP a little while longer.

I bought this for my mid-2012 MacBook Pro because the hardrive in it kept wiping itself, and losing the startup location. It took an afternoon to make the switch (most of it was merely waiting for the operating system and back ups to load onto the new hard drive) but it was well worth the time! I'm a software engineering student, and let me tell you, rewriting homework assignments in Java is not fun!!
