This new SSD drives did wonders to add new life to my old computer. I no longer see the hour glass on the screen and the IO wait times reduced dramatically.

This is my second Samsung Evo SSD and I have been thoroughly pleased with both. They have held up and are very quick to pull information and boot the OS.

Have an older laptop with a mechanical hard drive? Aside from adding the maximum of RAM, a good SSD is the next best thing to make the machine feel zippier and more responsive. It gave my 8 yr old MacBook Pro a new lease of life. Startup went from 60 seconds to 20, apps load MUCH more quickly, and the entire computer is more responsive. Won't fix everything (an old computer will still struggle with more recent apps), but can help extend the life of a former brick. Samsung's SSD's also rank highly on Wirecutter, so buy with confidence.

Simply the best SSD out there. Easy to install & configure. This one went into a 2011 Macbook Pro 15 and feels twice as fast as a conventional HDD.

Got this ssd to replace a crucial 1 that burned out after 4 years. Twice the space for half the price during that time, and it runs faster, love it so far.

I cloned my spinning disk in a very short time, it propmted me to shutdown and replace with transferred SSD. Very easy and this is my third Samsung SSD.

I used to bring up more speed to old 2011 MacBook Pro I7 2.7 this makes boot the OSX in only 12 seconds. Better to pay for this upgrade than memory ram.

It lives up to its reputation. I bought a transfer device that copied my HHD to the SSD. Plugged in the new drive an saw immediate performance improvements.

Works well with gaming desktops and laptops really nice features and I have used this version and the m.2 version and both are very good and fast.

Even though this is the previous generation drive from Samsung, I used it to replace a slow 5400rpm HDD in my wife's laptop. I used the Apricorn Data Transfer cable to clone the old drive and was up and running in no time. This drive is MUCH faster than the old HDD and I highly recommend it as a performance upgrade to your laptop still using a HDD

...that I didn't upgrade sooner. Between the decrease in boot up time as well as software/games loading, this thing has already paid for itself.
