This SSD has sparked new life into a seven year old desktop computer. I can only imagine what it can do for a newer machine. Worth every cent!

Love my SSHD!! He has a name! Tons of homework on there including a few high-def video projects with tons of special effects. It's nice to have a hard drive that isn't so sensitive to movement! As a student-I do not have the option to stay in one place-my hard drive is part of my daily equipment! Geek Squad showed me how to build it & I love it!

using in my 5+ year old Mac and you can see the difference, wife and kids think its an new Mac (could be that I got a different case for it tho).

I have several Samsung Evo SSD drives for both work and my home laptops. I've never had any issues with any of them and they're pretty fast considering you get the hardware whole disk encryption. If you enable the BIOS to support a passphrase, you'll get the higher level of security with the hardware encryption. It comes with the Samsung Magician software to allow you to see the status of the drive and to make tuning changes I have several of the 250 and 500 GB drives and my oldest one is about 2 years old now. Excellent so far.

If you want to speed up your computer, a Samsung SSD will make that happen. I use Samsung SSD's in all my systems I build and service.

I bought 5 of these to replace our old hard drives on our work notebooks. So far no complains and user report better performance/power/ etc.

I have a laptop that's about 4-5 years old as of this writing. As it started to become sluggish I upgraded my ram and installed this hard drive some time thereafter. I was, and am still, shocked at how big of a difference this SSD has made. Boot time, time to load programs, and multi tasking are VASTLY faster. For example it used to take between 20-30 seconds to load MS Word and now it's less than a second. After seeing such an improvement in my laptop, I bought another to install in my wife's. More than happy with my purchase.

Prices are coming down. This drive has a record of solid performance for years. At the pricing, I eneded up going back for another.

Seagate makes a great SSD. We bought and installed this with little effort. The documentation and software provided works without issue.

So I rebooted to the old hard drive, reformatted the new SSD, downloaded Macrium Reflect Free Edition and used it to create a bootable DVD containg their cloning software. After doing the cloning operation from the bootable DVD, everything worked fantastic, I was even able to create an exact copy of the old hard drive, including the HP recovery partition (Which Samsung Data Migration didn't do). Note: Using Macrium Reflect from a DVD took significantly longer than Samsung Data Migration did, about 90 minutes to move 175GB of data,
