Great upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The computer I believed to be unsinkable (like the Titanic) crashed so once I confirmed that it was indeed dead, this was the ssd recommended to me. Had to travel in from out of town. Really needed to install before I drove home but I was informed by the Geek Squad that such was not allowed. Really should consider a diy station for Hillbillies like me. No time to drive back and forth if something doesn't work. Needed my computer fixed asap. Some basic tools would be nice too.

Good, Solid SSD Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB SSD to serve as the boot drive on one of my gaming PCs. I could have beat the price with another good brand I like, but wanted to try Samsung's "Magician" software which uses regular memory caching along with the SSD's caching to speed things up. My test software on "seq" usually gets 510-520 reading and about 480-500 random -- with the "Magician" software about 10 times that (read up what other people thing about that).
