An SSD is the best choice for a new drive

He installed a slightly out-of-date MacOS. I upgraded it to ElCapitan from the Apple website and then did a complete restore from my Time Machine backup. It was IMPORTANT that I had done a backup just two days before the disk failure. The Samsung has been fast & reliable.

You will definitely notice the difference in speed. Just turn on your laptop and start working on it right away.

not too shabby

Works great, super fast (external dock averages ~840-870mb/s read/write) nevee had any issues with my first one either and it was about 2 years old. with that being said my dad had one and it failed after 6 months. No data was recoverable.

No issues and FAST enough

The drive is a typical SSD and plenty fast for a boot drive and large enough for all of your programs to be installed to. Yes, there are m2 nvme options for this size that are several times faster, but for a good SSD that performs great, you cant go wrong with this drive.

Finally Switched

My roommate has been getting on me to do it for over a year. Kept resisting. Should have listened. Computer is so much faster, load screens and cut screens on my games are 3x's a s fast and don't get hung up anymore. Recommend to anyone else that they change as well.

Kick the disc!

Truly amazing differences are made with even the most basic SSD. It now pains me to try using my work computers... plus, Samsung covers these products very well, skip the extra warranty.

Wow did this speed up my boot times...So I decided to get the 500 gig as a second drive and now my computer runs great.! Samsung provides some easy to use transfer and fine tuning software along with it. You cant go wrong with this one.
