This is arguably the best SSD drive in the market!

I read many reviews about this hard drive and spoke with a computer geek who builds computers; all said this was an excellent solid state drive. Before updating my computer the Geek Squad also recommended this product as it has a low rate of failure and is fast. My computer now boots 3-4 seconds.

I have two of the Samsung 850 Pro SSD drives, the 512GB version for my primary system drive, and the 1TB version (partitioned) to serve as my application drives. First, migrating from my old drive was extremely easy. The included migration wizard software transferred my OS, and all of my apps, over to the new SSD. It was painless and in less than a half-hour, I was back up and running with the new SSD --- all applications and settings working just fine as if I'd always had that drive. As for performance, the Samsung SSD Pro line are amongst the fastest. Just check out any of the benchmarks. Blazingly fast.

I selected the PRO since it was highly recommended for gaming and much faster then the regular Samsung models. I cloned it from my laptop hard drive and installed it. Now my computer starts up so fast and gaming is awesome!!! One problem is that once in a while, it makes a very funny noise and I don't know if the hard drive will go bad or not???

Samsung Pro SSDs are the most trustworthy around. I've used this model in over 10 corporate machines that high end video houses depend on to deliver TV/film related media. This purchase was for my own personal laptop and my aging laptop is now screaming fast, delivering a huge gain in OS speed as well as video I/O. it used to boot in 45 seconds, now it boots in 7.5 seconds

I recently upgrade my existing solid state with the Samsung EVO 850 and I noticed a performance increase in boot up, opening files, loading applications and shutting down the computer. I was shocked considering the existing model touted specs that were supposedly faster. FYI, the hard drive was cloned. The drive is nice and extremely light, and I did not use any software that was on the device.

Very fast drive for my xps i7 with 32gb ram. This dive gives me instant boots and shutdown. I have used less expensive ssd's. Don't. The software and support is worth it. How much is your data worth? Don't cheap out on lesser ssd drives

This SSD drive sped up my mid 2012 mac to speeds faster than the new ones. BEWARE of APPLE!! My mac was going through some hard drive/ memory troubles with this hard drive installed and when I took it to apple they wanted to blame the hard drive since it was samsung after having my old hard drive overnighted and replaced it was not the drive rather the SATA cable and Apple out of there error fixed it for free. While I have read other reviews saying this drive has crapped out which made me think it was truly broken I do not question this drives security nor durability.

I use it in my Mac mini. Started with the 840 pro 256 and upgraded to the 850 pro 1TB. Such a great SSD and so stinkin fast. Boot up time is incredibly fast and i can open 15 applications in less than 10 sec!

I bought two of these drives to put into a RAID 0 array. My PC rating shows the drives at a 7.9. That is the best score possible! These are the best bang for the buck!

I purchased this drive for a 2012 21.5 iMac. The upgrade was difficult for the average computer user. But once I got everything back together there is nothing like upgrading to a ssd. My 4 year old Mac is super snappy.

Added this drive to my laptop as a secondary drive. It works well with the 850 Pro primary that was previously installed. I upgraded from a Samsung 750 EVO and it was already a pretty fast system. Together the two 850 PRO drives are BLAZING fast! Programs and large files are open as soon as the icon is clicked. I am able to edit video and audio files with no issues.

Replacied my c hard drive with this ssd. It went well. I got stuck and called the local Best Buy and they help me through my hurdle. It did not come with the cable in the instructions but my laptop had two drive bays so I was able to use the empty one. The challenges installing this ssd would be the same for any ssd. It was rated among the best at Best Buy and on other review sites. It also cost about 100 more but is rated to last twice as long as others. Suppose to be fastest in my price range. I went for what I believe was quality over price, only time will tell.

This drive is an amazing drive. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because of the price tag at the time. Installation and installing a fresh OS was a breeze. Drive runs super fast. Took 5 min tops to do a clean windows 10 install and boots windows in 3 to 4 seconds.

Super simple and easy to install. The speed it gives is unreal. Get rid of that old spinner and go solid state. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

2nd drive from Samsung, very good drives. First was the 500-Gb, I write programs with Visual Studio Pro 2015 and Visual Studio Pro 2017, do a lot of video editing too, the Pro series drives are fast and give me no problems. They do everything I ask of them, except make my coffee when I'm clicking keys programming..lol

Good fast ssd and works no issues so far. Just buy it but don’t use magician cause it is spyware!

This drive is a addition to my computer. I am a digital hoarder and I wanted the extra 1TB of flash SSD. The install was easy and I encountered no problems. Best Buy had a sale and I used a reward certificate to purchase the drive. It is a fast drive with a good warranty. Can't go wrong!

Bought this to replace my existing Samsung 840 Pro SSD which had served me well for 5 years, but wanted a new one in my machine because of its age and needed more capacity. Been working flawlessly like the last one did since the install.
