I can't talk on the matter of longevity, yet. As for the quality and the performance, I find it to be very suitable for my daily needs. I am a mechanical engineer who uses this in an HP zBook G2 workstation. Boot time is fantastic. Application executions are fantastic, as well.

This 850 Pro is even faster than my 3 year old 840 Pro. The prices have now dropped and 512GB is now the same price as the 256GB I purchased 3 years ago. Gain even faster speeds with the 850 PRO. This is a great update to their already superior lineup.

This is one of the most easiest hard drive to install it is worth every dollar. After I finished it only took a matter of our to re-install windows to the laptop after I finished it was a very big difference when I do my work. A lot faster now.

everything in my computer runs so fast and smooth. I was planning get a hard drive, but then I did a bit of research and found out that the SSD is better. This SSD is just awesome. It takes just 5 seconds to turn my computer on and off.

Very easy to install and set up. Transferred files with no problems. I first loaded Windows 10 Pro off the Windows web site. No extra charge since I already had Windows 10 Pro installed on my disc drive. I loaded the programs I already owned from the internet and disc. Installed files from back ups I had made in the past. Including QuickBooks. Extremely easy with the software included with the Samsung 850 Pro. Installing the hardware is easy too. Just pull the plugins from your old hard drive and plug them into the new Pro 850. Install your version of Windows from the Microsoft web site. The software will guide your from there. I was working with QuickBooks rep and he was amazed at how fast my QuickBooks loaded. He was used to this taking much longer with other customers systems he has dealt with.

Drive is wicked fast. Use it as a game drive (important games I play often) As well as a drive to edit off of when using Adobe Premiere. Works great in both instances. Way faster than my old PNY drive!

Great software for monitoring all your drives. Easy to transfer HDD to SSD or SSD to SSD.

I bought this for my Mid 2012 macbook pro. My mac had slowed down significantly, it could only read and write at about 50 Mb/s. After replacing the hard drive, I'm hitting 500 MB/s read and write. The install was pretty straight forward: Make sure you back up your data and create a bootable mac os flash drive You need to get a screw driver that has a super small phillips head and also a T6. When removing the hard drive, make sure to disconnect the battery. After you get it swapped out, boot up the computer with your flash drive plugged in. Then you will have to format the hard drive to the mac system. Then follow the instructions!

Solid performer. Back up your old drive before you use magician software. I am 3:2 on losing data using the software to migrate data.

I love my new SSD drive. I installed it in my HP Envy Notebook. I push the computer's on button and, in an instant, my computer is ready to go. I chose the Samsung drive because of the positive reviews and because I'm a die-hard fan of Samsung products. I highly recommend this product.

I have had several SSD drives for my computers. I replace (if bought) or I build myself with these drives. They are very fast and not one has failed on me.

Ssd is so much faster than a standard hdd. Can be used in a Playstation too. No moving parts is a plus for longevity and durability.

This SSD is wonderful... I installed this on a 2012 non retina 13" i7 Dual core macbook pro and I am getting read speeds over 500mb and write speeds between 480 - 492 mb... This is a 4 year old machine and I can edit 4k video on it!!! I do have 16 gigs of ram also... But the edit would not be possible without this or a comparable drive!!!

Upgraded my Mac mini. If you don't wanna play around with the sissy SATA. if u leave your computer running and only turn it off when its glitching out, if you are a man of value. this SSD will BLOW you away. faster than all of apples drives (however i haven't used the new mac pros) . this is like the little speed demon that keeps up with you when you're 7 red bulls deep, partially having a seizure, and my seizure i mean, furiously clicking and typing. but yeah its fast bruh.

I have an old 2011 Mac which was reading and writing at like 20 mb/s and when I installed this I was hoping for a miracle. It's a good product, don't get me wrong- it took it up to about 250 mb/s. Computer is still slow but it did make an improvement. More than likely if you have a disk drive this is a great upgrade... if you have a very old computer, this might only help a little. It really depends.
