Added this during a new build as my boot drive. My boot time is insane. My purchase was based on prior reviews and knowing that this appeared to be what I was trying to accomplish with startup I went with it. Very happy with it.

I installed this on my aging mac book pro when the old drive went out to much to lunch and never came back. The end result was nothing short of amazing! I feel like I purchased a brand new computer for just a few dollars.

Works well in a new build with Windows 8.1. No problems during setup related to the SSD, and programs are running and responding well. Boot time is approximately 10 seconds, sometimes a little less, but not bad for a desktop.

There is no better company for manufacturing SSD's than Samsung. This SSD is lightning fast and I cloned my old HHD to this using free Aomei and swapped them out. Everything is the exact same except much faster.

This SSD is highly rated and my 2nd one. I may buy another one too. these are so sweet! BTW, this is just as good for a desktop as it is for a laptop. Easily installation, but copying take some time.

Replaced the OEM HDD in my older Sony Viao laptop. Much (much) faster now, generates less heat also = less fan noise. Storage size is good as most data is now cloud stored rather than on the drive itself.

One of the fastest ssd's out there. I consistently get 500Mb/s read and writes. Would buy this drive over and over if needed. If you need a sata based ssd, look no further.

This is as fast of an SSD that most would ever need. Nice capacity at a decent price. Samsung still owns the SSD market... and does so with many great options like this one.

I am very happy with my Samsung 850 Pro SSD! It is very fast! When I launch a program, it comes on quick. Also, starting up and shutting down are fast.

Old PC laptop was sluggish taking forever to turn on sign on. Every thing was just slow. Swapped it out with this SSD. Laptop is faster then ever before.

This is the best series of SSD drives I have tried. Very fast and the warranty cannot be beat. I cannot wait for the 2TB to come down in price next year.

Sure it might be double the price of an evo. But trust me you are getting great quality for your buck.

Although it is a great up grade, it was extremely annoying and time consuming that it doesn't come with the proper software for the up grade. You will have to go to youtube and discover how to put this drive in your computer. You will need your back up drive/and or iCloud connection and you will need an eight gig flash drive along with some coding for the up grade. You do not need to buy a disc copy software. Just have to jump thru a few hoops. Watch several of the youtube videos before you find the one that's right for you.

Samsung has a good record of lasting 2 million hours before failure. I installed this drive as boot drive in older server to speed it up.

had no issues installing. use the software it comes with and you will be up and running with in 15 minutes. 10 yr warranty is a plus
