Replaced the hard drive in an old HP laptop. The speed change is phenomenal. I have a five year old evo850 in a dell and it is still running like it did after the upgrade. Samsung SSDs are priced well and have great reputation.

I was trying to clone the NVMe ssd from a new computer to a larger capacity one that I had also bought. I didn't have the right cords or adapters to do this but realized that if I had another regular size ssd I could do it with the cables I had. This ssd was not the cheapest one I could get but it had the benefit of being a Samsung one which made the cloning process super easy as Samsung provides cloning software for free online if using Samsung harddrives. Great buy, and now I have a backup ssd if I ever need one.

I threw this in an older laptop to speed up the process. Used Windows 10 OS. Have 4GB Ram. It's good. Not excellent. 50 times better than the Sata. Not enough ram for windows. Going to try Linux Cinnamon. Ubuntu.

My older laptop was slowly losing its capabilities (sound, speed). I took it to Best Buy where they replaced the hard drive with the Samsung Solid State Drive. My old laptop has been revived and is working better than ever.

This Samsung drive has a strong well built case, and is definitely solid! Upgraded from a failing 120GB SSD that was factory in my laptop, and had no problems with Windows install and a boost of performance!

I have installed this in 3 HP laptops so far and it has performed beyond expectations. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to upgrade their old Hard Drive to the newer SSD as long as you have a SATA connection and connector or buy the connector/adapter.

The Samsung 860 EVO is no longer the latest in SSD drive tech, but it is was the fastest of it’s class and is PERFECT for running computer games (newer M.2 drives won’t provide much additional loading speed benefit).

I bought this to upgrade my grandmother’s laptop and she absolutely loves how much faster it is. Now instead of waiting a minute for windows to start it only takes 10-15 seconds on average. After running some speed tests it averages around 510MB/s for both read and write.

If you want to bring live to a aging computer upgrade to SSD drive. It will operate 5x to 10x its current speed. Operating System and Apps loads faster. It makes using laptop and desktop enjoyable again. Hard drive spinning disk is the slowest part in the computer.

Well, I needed a boot drive for a new FreeNAS network attached storage system and selected this drive from Samsung. No regrets! For my dollar, there is nothing better than a EVO SSD from Samsung. They just work! Period.

Got this for a desktop with HDD as the main drive. Cloned the files from HDD to this product and swapped out. After moving all the files on to SSD, and setting it as the main OS drive, the response seems almost instant! Nice and amazing product. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This 860 EVO replaced the HD in my dated Playstation 3. Games load a bit faster than the mechanical hard drive but the PS3 SATA 1 prohibits faster speeds this SSD could deliver. Happy with the purchase, though.

My laptop was super slow with my old HDD and it was almost impossible to work on it. I bought this new SSD disk and replaced it for my old HDD and it was amazing my laptop is now super fast I'm super happy with my purchase

You can't go wrong with the EVO series SSD's from samsung. Reliable and read and write speeds that are extremely fast. I use this in one of my builds as a boot drive and to store some games on. I highly recommend this to any and all pc owners out there.

Won't use anything but Samsung for all my SSDs. Easy install and the data migration utility makes upgrading a current system a breeze. Very good SSD for the cost. Cheaper drivers always give me issues. Never had any issues with Samsung's drivers.

This is my Go-To drive for all of my clients' PCs. Great speed for the price. Awesome manufacturer's warranty. Good capacity for average use. Samsung Magician is handy to see the drive performance and update firmware.

I used this to replace the old HD in my friend’s PC. He isn’t a power user so it had plenty of capacity for his OS and programs and we put that old drive into an external USB case for use in backups. Works great, much faster bootup and loading programs.

I have purchased several of these for numerous builds. I have the 1TB’s for storage and the 250GB for my operating system. Can’t go wrong. I have also used this to bring my MacBook Pro 2012 back to life.

I had to upgrade my hard drive, as it was failing after ten years. This Samsung drive is amazing! For an older computer, the drive boots up fast, response time on programs is amazing! An amazing drive to have in your computer!

Wanted an external SSD drive as a startup drive on my iMac computer - very fast and works great - installed latest operating system and is incredibly fast, Samsung, the only brand to get when wanting a SSD drive - the first choice and the right choice.
