The 860 EVO is hands down has the best balance of value/performance/reliability in an SSD. I am so impressed with this drive, that I just ordered a second one for a different computer. Highly recommended.

You can’t go wrong with this hard drive. Samsung does good quality solid state hard drives. I have use these hard drives many times. They are easy to use, easy to install, and have a long life.

Replaced the hard drive in my 2011 MacBook Pro with this SSD and before, I couldn't even load emails, while now I have a fully functioning laptop that runs great. A great affordable alternative to purchasing a new laptop. Only reason I have it 4 stars is because it doesnt run quite as fast as I would like, I think the 500GB would have been a better option if you plan to run more than 2 programs at a time.

Good SSD, price is higher than other brands, I got it for a friend's laptop because of the reliability of Samsung drives. Other than that it didn't perform even close to 550/520, it did 480 read / 380 write with AS SSD benchmark which is more accurate than ATTO and Crystal Disk. For my laptop I got PNY 240Gb for $35 which is a better value than $60 for the 250GB Samsung. But for my desktop I use Samsung EVO 960 NVME which is a lot faster than SATA drives.

The best upgrade that you can give your laptop or desktop. Also make sure you are not running any application while the SSD firmware is being updated. It can cause your SSD fail. Other than that this thing ROCKS.

Had to upgrade storage of laptop internal drive and this fit well no issues. No problems on detection and drive cloning. Didn't like that the prices were so high at first but they have come down quite a bit recently.

Excellent performance for those on a budget. However, 250GB doesn’t offer much space for today’s HD files. It would be best to go for at least a 512GB drive.

I had three old dell laptop and always bought this Samsung SSD. Price match with Amazon was good. You can't get wrong with this choice. Small, compact, fast and good price.

It transferred the old hard disk to the new ssd. Everything run smooth. Swap the old hard disk with the new ssd, the test speed was 3 times faster than my old drive. It feels like a brand new computer.

I got this to upgrade my parents computer so it will be faster when it was building up the operating system and it did make the computer fast when booting up but it also helped with many other things.

I put this Samsung SSD into and old Acer laptop from 2011 that was really slow and took over 3 minutes to start up. Once the SSD was installed the boot up was 30 seconds and the laptop is now usable.

I decided to replace an older SSD with a new one. So I bought this Samsung 860EVO from BestBuy. This one rocks. My Win 10 Desktop now boots in less than 7 seconds. I highly recommend this drive.

The Samsung SSD is able to take full advantage of a Sata 3 connection. Installed in an older desktop, reinstalled Windows 10 and was amazed as the improvement in the performance

I bought this SSD to refresh my wife's laptop and haven't been disappointed. I haven't done any explicit benchmarking but haven't noticed any performance issues.
