What an excellent piece of hardware this thing is. Good price normally. Great price on sale. High quality Samsung drive and wow it's fast. Get rid of those cheap, decades old hard drives that are so slow and go SSD immediately. Your PC or laptop will triple in speed. Especially for gamers.

For the price this Samsung Evo 870 solid-state drive was an excellent buy. Years ago 256 GB solid-state drives would’ve cost an excess of $500. Because of advancements in computer hardware and memory the price has dropped. I ended up getting this drive for one heck of a steel. Yeah, there is no software included in the box to help manage the drive however, you can very quickly go to Samsung‘s website and download a drive management tool. I would recommend this drive to anyone who can get it for the same price that I did.

We have been upgrading our PCs traditional hard drives with SSDs and it brings new life to our PCs and speed! The Samsung 860 EVO SSDs are at the top of my list. They are very reliable and very easy to migrate data from our old hard drive to the new SSD. I highly recommend these and would trust.

Used Samsung's software to clone the existing drive to 860 EVO. It was a breeze and took about 15 minutes to clone it. Didn't encounter any issues. Now the 5 year old laptop starts up fast and feels new again. This solid state drive will likely extend the laptop usage for another couple of years.

I bought this drive to upgrade a friend's gaming computer. I installed Windows 10 on this drive and it boots up faster than ever now! I highly recommend the Samsung EVO line of drives because of their reliability, speed, and overall value.

I have used several SSD brands over the past 10 years and Samsung has always been the most consistent in terms of price vs performance. I can easily recommend the 860 EVO if your motherboard does not support the M.2 format. Grab the 970 EVO if you have the M.2 support.

The cloning software from Samsung's website makes upgrading a breeze. This is a non-mechanical drive with read and write speeds far superior to traditional hard drives. Startup shutdown and program loading is exponentially faster than before.

I got this to replace my 2nd crashed HDD, fed up went with the SSD should of went with 500GB. Since my HDD was 1TB but still happy with it. I say with my HDD it took several minutes to boot laptop. This SSD drive literally boots laptop in 15 seconds and system runs fast.

My Intel 9600k and Asus z-390A Boot in less than 10 seconds. Highly reliable drive. Clean install of windows 10 pro only took 9 minutes through usb installer. Most of that time was me taking breaks and running through the set up process. Definitely recommend this SSD.

I have a Dell XPS desktop computer that had Windows 7 on it, a 1 terabyte HDD and no SSD. I bought a new Dell desktop computer that came with Windows 10 installed on a SSD. The Windows 7 computer was so much slower to boot up than the Windows 10 computer that I decided to buy Windows 10 and the Samsung SSD in order to upgrade my old computer. Installing the new SSD and Windows 10 was easier than I expected and now I have two computers that boot up fast. Programs load much faster on the SSD than they did on the hard drive. You can't go wrong with a SSD.

This is the 2nd time ive bought one of these great drives. Speed , speed , speed. Boot times cut in half . 20 sec boot time down to around 10 secs if that. Buy the 960 pro if you can afford it though. i have one of those too. Plus the warranty is great ! thank me later

I did a revamp of an older desktop computer to use in connection with a scanner to scan old family photos and replaced the older hard drive with this 250 GB solid state drive. Boot up is MUCH faster and the drive is more than adequate for my scanning jobs.

There are a lot of solid state hard drives on the market today and for what can be said about them in terms of reliability and speed, the Samsung line of evo drives takes that a step further with their data migration and disk magician software. Great!

Fast and power saving. Have installed the Samsung EVO 250GB SATA drives in my desk top and lap top computers. Fast boot times and power savings in laptops. Nice software included, I would recommend these drives.

Runs much faster than standard drive and a good deal for the money as they have come down in price. Also the Samsung drives are supposed to be the fastest, but cost a little more. I really didn't see the speed difference myself on slower laptop.

Anyone who has not tried replacing a spinning disk with an SSD drive should try this one. I have used multiple Samsung EVO's in my personal devices including MAC PC laptop and desktop. Super easy to install and Samsung quality is amazing!

Samsung makes one of the best SSDs. Especially for the price. Been working great for over six months. Speedy, no fail storage. I don't know if I would buy any other brand now.

Replaced my MacBook Pro's internal moving parts drive with this Samsung 860 Evo and it's like a brand new machine. I am using the APFS standard and on the latest Mojave. Everything is working great, the read and write speeds are excellent!

I wanted to upgrade my desktop. The staff suggested that as part of that upgrade, I add another drive to hold my operating system. This would help speed things up. It did exactly just that. It is a great drive for a very reasonable price.

I had the same SSD in another computer, had it for 5 years and never had an issue. When I got a new computer I decided to go with it again. (First computer was Dell Latitude now running in Lenovo T540P)
