Samsung SSD EVO's are really great, and using them to replace old SATA drives (not IDE) really give your computer a new life. Instead of buying a new computer, start with a Samsung SSD.

Bought this to upgrade an aging laptop. SSD is not expensive and simply imaging the old drive to the SSD and installing breathed new life into a good piece of equipment.

Bought this SSD for the computer that I was building and the boot time I and getting from this is amazing. from completely off to turned on its only about 12-15 seconds

Much faster boot. I have not had any problems and the SSD will allow me to use this computer without the long boot times.

If your just getting into upgrading your computer this is a great start i do recommend that you do a 500gb or whatever the next step up from the 250gb is (mainly bc windows 10 takes up a little more space than id like but easy to change and upgrade) very simple didnt need a transfer cable setup was a breeze plug and play, reinstall was less than 10 min. next step ram sticks!!

These are the easiest drives to clone with the Samsung software. I also use these as storage only drives for music production. They are very reliable

This internal drive greatly improved the performance of my laptop. It boots instantly and so far it has worked perfectly.

Unlike the other brands this Samsung comes with easy to download software to clone your Windows computer. The software was easy to use and worked very well. I am using this ssd in my Dell XPS desktop computer. It is connected to the computer via a spare SATA port on the mother board. It was very easy to install in my computer.

Hard drive is a great upgrade for any IDE hard drive. Boot to desktop is around 15 seconds+/- ( minimum startup ). This is a significant speed improvement.

It was used to replace an old ssd as windows 10 boot disk. I used Samsung Data Migration tool to copy the old ssd to the new Samsung ssd. It worked perfectly. It booted up the first time with no issue. All the data was migrated without any issue. Since it was migrating from another ssd, I do not notice any significant improvement in boot up speed. All my other Samsung ssd's have been reliable. Hopefully this one is too. So far so good.

Fast boots, reliable and from a reputable company. This is my 3rd Samsung SSD and my first 860 series. Works great and was a good value when it was on sale.

Samsung makes a great product here. The drive is fast, reliable and I've never had an issue with any of the Samsung SSDs I've used. Highly recommended.

This has to be the best drive for the price. This sped up my 4 year dell and hoping to get another 4 years out of it. Do yourself a favor and by this drive.

Used this to replace the slow 5400rpm drive in my dad's laptop. Trying to do anything on it was taking forever with the drive light showing heavy disk activity. I suggested an SSD, and then discovered that the platter drive was, in fact, failing. That prevented me from using Samsung's drive cloning software, but I created a new Windows installation disk and was able to get his personal data transferred via thumb drive. Now he is able to do what he wants in very little time, and this drive has enough storage for his needs.

Get rid of the old mechanical hard drives and replace them with the now affordable SSDs. Enjoy faster transfer speeds, boot time, overall performance.
