I have been using this SSD in my laptop for more than a year now. My regular usage includes full day of web browsing, coding and other basic tools as my university. However, at night time I use it for playing heavy games such as GTA V. This drive has been able to hold all of these through all the time. Pros : Performance has been almost same after 1 year of heavy use. No Noise or Vibration at all. Highly Efficient. Will Increase usage time to almost 1.5 - 2 times. Cons: Nothing here except just it hangs up very rarely (Noticed 5-6 times in a year) when booting up the laptop.

I wasn't sure which solid state drive to purchase but after talking with a Best Buy sales person he highly recommended the Samsung - 860 EVO. It was very easy to install and has been operating smoothly and is very fast.

Great 500 GB SSD for it's price. I was seeing the 860 EVO on multiple lists for top SSD/PCI devices. I wanted an SSD so I can load my games/Steam library on it. I didn't want to unknowingly fill up the 500 SSD that my OS is on. Games load up much quicker now.

This SSD was for replacing my 9 year old spinning hard drive, and there was a huge difference when I changed. Before it took 7 minutes to turn on my computer then to open Firefox, and now it takes about 45 seconds, I would highly recommend Samsung's products!

If you don't want to mess with imaging software and just want to transfer data from an old drive, the Samsung Magician software is great for its intended purpose. It's fast, everything works right, and the software works right too. Perfect for me.

Very impressive SSD from Samsung. Overclocks itself safely and effectively when you down load Samsung Magician Software. Easily outperforms other similarly priced SSDs. Huge improvement disk drives, highly recommend.

Love the performance of this SSD. I had to replaced failing drive in my laptop and wanted an SSD for my replacement. Liked it so much, purchased another for my Wife’s laptop that she uses for her home business. We are both very pleased with speed and performance of the drive.

Samsung SSDs have been the fastest and most reliable drives I have found. I normally use Sandisk or Crucial for upgrading most PC's because they cheaper, but when I am upgrading my own devices or need more reliability I go with samsung.

So far so good, i cloned my original drive and this is a pretty solid SSD. I don't use it for gaming so i'm not sure about performance compared to other SSDs but so far i'm happy with it and my machine boots everything in 20 seconds.

Improves computer performance more than faster processors. Much less expensive than replacing a computer. I replaced the hard drive in all my computers with SSDs and experienced massive performance improvement. I only use hard drive for archiving.

Installed this on my Dell Latitude E7440 laptop and gave it new life. Its a very responsive drive, reliable, and good for the price. My laptop boots really fast and apps launch very quickly now. Not a bad investment!

Upgraded new Windows machine to this SSD after using this same SSD before; solid upgrade that took a very slow booting machine to a machine that cold boots in less than 10s. Not to mention using the PC apps is exponentially faster as well. Worth every penny.

My computer runs sooo much better since I upgraded to this SSD. It boots faster, has much less lag, games load faster. If I had known it would make this much difference I would've upgraded a long time ago! But spend the extra money and get at least a 500gb.

Rebuilt both my desktop & laptop, and changed from an HDD to an SSD on both. What a difference!!!! Boot up is sooo fast, opening new tabs, files, whatever require almost no time now. I definitely recommend the Samsung 860 EVO solid state drive.

Purchased for an older PC, using as the boot drive. Installation was straight forward, no issues with bios. A little time consuming to install Windows, but once that was done, PC boots very quickly and the SSD works as it should. Good price point on a 500gb SSD.

I'm using this to store and run two virtual machines at the moment. Performance is right on par with other Samsung SSDs I've used in the past. I buy Samsung SSDs for the reliability and speed. I'm running the 500GB

Replaced a crashed 2.5" HDD in my Lenovo ThinkPad T530 laptop. Used the mount and rubber rails the HDD used. Installed quickly and easily. Quiet. Booting much faster. Only regret is that maybe I should have gotten a 1Tb drive (but it was $40 or $50 more).

One of the first upgrades everyone should do when trying to increase your laptop's speed. Very simple to do and cloning your old HD is a breeze with the provided Samsung cloning tool. Wife's old laptop feels new again.

Replaced a old disk hard drive and it’s night and day difference. Was easy to transfer data from old with there Samsung’s migration program. You will speed up any old computer with this SSD hard drive swap. Highly recommend!
