The drive performes as advertised, it is slightly faster than my smaller older Samsng SSD. installation was easy and the only thing i wish it has would be an imaging/migration software to migrate files

The Samsung 860 Evo SSD was easy to install in my new gaming rig. The data migration software was easy to follow and helped the install and setup. The Magician software helps to maintain your drive is very good. I have a 1TB HDD and now a have Samsung 500GB SSD

This SSD is a replacement for a failing hard drive in my HP laptop. The improvement in speed is mind blowing. Installation was easy, other than opening the laptop. Very happy with this purchase ... definitely recommend!

This hard drive is very fast and a very good price for the money. This hits a great price/performance value compared to where they were a few years ago. I am not a fan of the samsung migration software, but a fresh windows install is best anyways.

The Samsung 860 EVO is really pushing the limits of the SATA interface; it is really, really fast! It also has the best warranty (5yr) and write endurance in the industry. This replaced a very high speed disk drive and the difference was rather staggering(Note: this is an I7 Windows machine). Boot up was reduced to a few seconds, and game load and play was improved tremendously. This is also a working machine, Word, Excel, and Access all sped significantly. System builds, which do a lot of reads and writes, sped up by a factor of four. Pretty much all the SATA SSD drives top out at the same read speed, but the writes can be variable depending on the caching strategy and Samsung seems to have done it right with 860 EVO. The performance combined with the warranty and endurance numbers make the choosing the Samsung 860 EVO a real no-brainer.

I've been using this entirely as a games storage and it works great. Loading times in Cyberpunk and CoD Cold War are really fast and at a price of around $50 for the 500GB drive I think it is a no-brainer.

A solid solid state drive. bought it to replace an old hdd that has failed on my old man's computer. Has worked well so far, and if my previous 860 evo is any indicator, should work well for years to come

Picked this up for a bit of an unconventional use in a PS4 Pro. Cut load times in open world games in half. As impressive as it is I can only imagine the true speed that would be present in a PC application. Great product with a good price.

Something about these Samsung ssd, performance is extraordinary. Since the swap , my computer has been operating very smooth. Out of the 5+ Samsung ssds I have installed , I have never had any issues. I would recommend.

This is the BEST 2.5” SSD you can buy on the consumer market. It’s twice the amount of other brands because it’s twice as good (don’t get me started on Sata3 bottlenecking;) & I highly recommend it for gamers. Samsung still the King of Speed!

So, my HP laptop, which is only few years old, started to act slow and legging. I researched for some options to speed it up and of course, SSD is the way to go but which one? So, did a lot of researching and comparison to other brands, and Samsung - 860 EVO 500GB just seemed right to me. It is newer than 850, a little faster and - i cannot recognize my HP now. Drastic change in speed! Samsung's Migration Software is a great tool that clones the drive exactly as your old one and it's amazing! Same data, same software, - but not the same speed! Wow.. love this thing! Very easy to install and migrate data. Actually, youtube has videos on how to do it. Just look it up and done! Also, chose the Best Buy since i had credits and i trust this company ( have been shopping at best buy a lot, at store and online - always great experience ) now, all i need is just increase RAM, from 8 to 16, and i will be set for years! :)

Used this SSD to replace my failed RPM Drive on my MacBook Pro. Drive fit neatly in my computer's existing Bay. my MacBook Pro now boots up in under 30 seconds, where it used to take about 1.5 minutes. Couldn't be happier with this little drive.

Not my first Samsung SSD but just as fast and reliable as all priors. The trim utility included allows for benchmarking and trim for all drives. Oh and did I say fast? Up and fully booted in around 8 seconds. Very impressive.

Great SSD, still working well a few years on, sped up my computer quite a bit on startup. Sufficient size for daily casual browsing and school work.

Got a WD blue and that just sucked. Figured I'll try another brand and I do not like Samsung but I hear good things about the Evo and it was on sale for $72 for 500gb. Why not. I'm the first one in the lobby for at least 15 seconds. Crazy fast.

Install windows super fast, only limited by my 4th gen Intel 7 processor. Super easy to install, bios picked it up. System boots up fast. It's the way to go for a boot drive, I have a 2T mechanical drive for storage. Offers a 5 year warranty!

Completely worth it! My laptop is a 2018 Dell and it was starting to run slow, After buying this bigger drive, the quickness overall has surpass my expectations! And I have lots of files in my laptop.

This is my second solid state drive that buy from the same store . Solid state was easy to install and it increased my device's speed, so there is no too much waiting time for my laptop to start up.

The SSD is easy to install if you know how to do it. The drive was recognized immediately, initialized are ready for storage. I keep my Steam games on this drive because the games are so large and the drive is fast. Samsung makes a great product.

I purchased this drive to replace a 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive that was failing. After purchasing this along with a SATA to USB cable and following the instructions to download and install Samsung transfer software, I copied my hard drive to this Solid State Drive (SSD). When the copy was finished (it didn't take nearly as long as I thought that it would) I shut down the computer, removed the back, replaced the first drive with this one, put the back cover on and started the computer, which booted way faster than before. Now instead of waiting 5 - 10 minutes for the drive to settle down, my computer is ready to use in less than 30 seconds. I am very please with this drive and recommend it.
