Since prices have dropped on SSDs, these Samsung SSDs are great deals. Performs well, and includes software to easily migrate your Windows PC to the new SSD drive. I have been buying Samsung SSDs for years and have not had one fail on me yet.

The drive is smooth-running and responsive--so much better than my old drive. I've encountered no problems or glitches. I consider it reasonably priced. The Geek Squad did the installation and testing. Very good performance.

I purchased this drive to replace a 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive that was failing. After purchasing this along with a SATA to USB cable and following the instructions to download and install Samsung transfer software, I copied my hard drive to this Solid State Drive (SSD). When the copy was finished (it didn't take nearly as long as I thought that it would) I shut down the computer, removed the back, replaced the first drive with this one, put the back cover on and started the computer, which booted way faster than before. Now instead of waiting 5 - 10 minutes for the drive to settle down, my computer is ready to use in less than 30 seconds. I am very please with this drive and recommend it.

Purchased for wife's computer (5 years old) to replace hard drive. Made it like a new computer, much faster (she likes games) ... Part of overhaul including replacing hard drive with SSD and adding 4 gig of Ram... Like a new computer....

Great SSD, still working well a few years on, sped up my computer quite a bit on startup. Sufficient size for daily casual browsing and school work.

Had 3 laptops with 6 year old HDD's. Now have 3 laptops with new SSD's. The process could not be easier. The Samsung Magician and separate Duplicating software were easily downloaded, self-checked for most recent version and compatibility with the SSD. For duplicating I used an external backup drive case with a USB link - just popped each SSD in the external case for each computer, plugged in the USB cable and ran the duplicating software. The drive swapout process was easily found on YouTube (not from Samsung, but a big thank you to all who take the time to publish that info on YouTube). Completed the upgrade of all 3 computers in one day, with most of the wait time being the drive duplicating process.

Purchased to replace a Samsung 850 series SSD in my desktop. Better performance than previous version. System is running a bit faster and boot time is down running Windows 10 Pro. Recommend for an upgrade or replacement.

Samsung continues to make the best high end SSDs. It's more expensive but the speed is the difference here. It's much faster than other brands and I use it as an external drives to store my games.

I am no expert with computer hardware and this couldn’t have been easier to install. I had no issues whatsoever with installation. The difference it has mad in the speed of my laptop is phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Recently I was looking for possible options to speed up my 2014 Mac Mini. Apparently it can accept the Apple NVME ssd and a standard SATA SSD. Needless to say, the apple compatible NVME SSDs were super expensive so I decided upon this MLC based Sasmsung drive. I LOVE IT! 9 times out of 10 I don’t notice a speed difference from my 2015 MacBook Pro, although the speeds on the MacBook Pro (Apple NVMe SSD) are more than twice this drive. For everyday usage it’s perfect. I’m seeing above 500mb/s read and write which is more than enough for a fluid OS experience. If you’re on the fence, don’t be!!! Get this one! You’ll wish you did it sooner. I’ve also replaced my regular HDD in my windows laptop, it’s a night and day difference. I feel like all my computers are brand new!

set up was easily done, plug in usb and create password, that’s excellent, no software download, and the drive is fast when i was transferring files, its an awesome fast drive, its very small and light weight also, thats a plus

Cheap at the time got it for extra storage if i ever need it. I’ve had a few of these before which all work perfectly fine. A 1000x better than the Patriot brand which I have had 3 die on me in a matter of months.

Samsung did a great job with their Solid State Drive (SSD). Upgrading an old laptop hard drive with this new SSD improved the performance of the laptop and the Samsung software made cloning the old drive to the new SSD effortless.

Samsung's EVO continues to be the leader of cost, capacity and endurance. I find it very difficult for me to want. To pay more or less for other models and brands since they are all usually lacking in one of those categories.

When it comes to SSD's I usually stick to Samsung since they make the most reliable ones. This one performs really well and I use it to store all my games for quick storage.

I had hoped replacing my old hard drive would help speed up my laptop, but I had no idea it could be this fast! No more frustration of waiting...and waiting... And, it was easy to do! The software made setup easy. SSD is the way to go!

The Samsung 500GB 860 EVO internal solid state drive has proven to be a very reliable storage medium for my personal PC. It boots up my Windows 7 operating system quickly and flawlessly. I really enjoy the performance of this drive.

I was copying my old hard drive (hdd) over to the new ssd, the software it says to download worked well, and was fast! Easy install, migration tool was fantastic! I’m very pleased with the speed and the quietness of my pc now!

Great price on a great SSD. So easy to clone over from the old drive. This turned my 2012 MacBook Pro into a new computer. I would also recommend a memory upgrade, both are easy upgrades, just Google for instructions.

It works exactly as advertised. I own two of them now one in a laptop and one in a tower. They are perfect for being your OS drive and purchasing bigger drives for large media like movies and music.
