I had an older SSD drive that failed due to the plastic cover on the data cable interface breaking. This drive had an initial problem being recognized by the Win10 setup utility after formatting a new partition. However, after a reboot the setup continued no problem. The first thing I noticed was the boot up time going into Windows after it installed. Where the old drive would take 30 seconds or so to get into the the desktop after the system POST this drive is just a couple of seconds. It’s fast but a little more expensive then the other drives at Best Buy but well worth it if you are looking for performance.

I have a laptop I bought a while ago at Best Buy. It had a traditional 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive. Windows 10 is horrible to laptop HDD's and I would have to wait between 5-10 minutes as disk usage was at 100%. I got tired of the wait and decided to purchase my first SSD and man has it been great! I have Arch Linux dual-booted with Windows 10 and the response time for either OS has been fantastic. Both OS' boot up in less than 10 seconds. My programs open much faster. Samsung is one of the few brands I trust in the SSD world. I got this before the prices went down but I don't care because it is worth the money to invest for your machines.

This solid state drive is working very nicely in my new desktop. Boots Windows 10 surprisingly fast. And as expected applications start up quicker. Good product at an excellent price.

This is the second Samsung EVO 500 GB drive I've purchased in order to update our older laptops. They are great and they are fast! Copying and installation was a breeze.

I love this SSD. I use it as my primary drive to boot my operating system and to store a few other programs on there as well. The speed is insane. Easy installation as well.

Fast, reliable SSD drive. I have upgraded about a dozen desktop and laptop PC's at work and at home with these drives. Makes an old, tired PC run faster than new. Will purchase again.

I had been wanting to upgrade from a 240 ssd to 500 but wanted a quality upgrade... found this Samsung on sale at Best Buy... super improvement easy install....very happy with my purchase.

I've purchased several of these drives in 250gb and 500gb capacity and never had any problems. easy setup and reliable. this is my go to choice when installing a ssd in any computer.

What can I say it’s a solid HDD , it moves data fast, reduces heat and saves battery life ... get one.. I dropped one into my 10 year old MacBook and it runs lightening fast!

Super reliable SSD for Windows. Runs fast no problems what so ever. If you're building a new PC get a Samsung drive for peace of mind.

Works great! Speeds are very fast, transferring between 60-100MB/s from hard drive to this SSD. Very slim profile, so fits into tight spaces well.

I am not a computer wiz or an IT tech person, but this was easy to install on my laptop. My laptop is 10 times faster now.

I've built at least 6 machines with this drive. You can't beat the price for the performance, and an SSD is an easy upgrade anyone with a traditional spinning HDD should make.

Bought this to migrate OS from hdd to faster ssd. Plugged it in, worked instantly and the faster boot times are amazing compared to my old hdd.

High performance SSD for everyday tasks as well as gaming. I've had this in my desktop for 2 years without an issue. Boot time is 20 secs with Win10, Core i-7 6th Gen, 8Gb RAM.

I installed this into my mid 2012 MacBook Pro and it works amazingly. The computer is genuinely about 5Xs faster and smoother. Very easy to install as well

The samsung drive is fast, light, reliable... I purchased it to be used as a portable external drive. I just bought an external cable to connect it to a USB port.

I've upgraded several laptops to another brand ssd and decided to try Samsung as several tests showed samsung to be faster yet a bit more expensive. Ssd is certainly faster and I believe this samsung is even faster. I replaced a regular PC hardisk that came with vista with this and a new install of win10. I am very pleased and recommend it. Helped a friend replace his PC HD with this and new win10 last weekend and it is amazingly fast, like 20 seconds ready after powering on. Yes, I bought these 2 samsung ssd and several other sandisk all from bestbuy. They will price match with many other stores, I got the best price I could find.
