Big upgrade and noticeable faster than my old hard drive. Boot up time is probably cut in half. Surfing internet is also noticeably faster. Very happy so far.

I've upgraded several laptops to another brand ssd and decided to try Samsung as several tests showed samsung to be faster yet a bit more expensive. Ssd is certainly faster and I believe this samsung is even faster. I replaced a regular PC hardisk that came with vista with this and a new install of win10. I am very pleased and recommend it. Helped a friend replace his PC HD with this and new win10 last weekend and it is amazingly fast, like 20 seconds ready after powering on. Yes, I bought these 2 samsung ssd and several other sandisk all from bestbuy. They will price match with many other stores, I got the best price I could find.

The Samsung EVO SSDs are probably the best overall performing SSDs on the market for the money. The prices have finally come down and they're definitely worth the price.

I purchased this because the SSD drive that came with my HP computer gave me a warning notice saying the drive was going to fail. So, I needed the drive ASAP and Best Buy had the drive for the same price as Amazon but could not get it from AMZ for a couple of days. So, I went too Bestbuy.com and placed my order and picked it up using their curbside apt that worked. I went to my lab and installed the drive using Acronis True Image. Program worked great and swapped the drives and away I went. An immediate difference in boot and application speed.
