If you want are looking to increase the performance of your laptop hard drive or your desktop, and not spend a lot of money, I would definitely recommend the Samsung Drives. The EVO is a solid performer. The software from Samsung to copy your HDD to the SSD works very easily. Just make sure you have the proper connections or hardware to help you.

Very fast, reliable, typical of Samsung SSD's they are excellent and an excellent value. Would not use any other brand of SSD.

I couldn’t be more pleased. When the HDD drive in my 10 year old HP Envy laptop froze I thought I was going to have to buy a new laptop. When I was researching new laptops to buy I noticed that the RAM and other specs on the new laptops were similar - or often inferior - to my laptop so I had the idea to swap out the old HDD drive for this new SSD. I wish I had done this years ago. The laptop is super fast - way faster than even when it was brand new - and after a month of daily WFH I have absolutely no complaints.

I always purchase used off lease HP higher end laptops, usually off corporate leases. This system had the original drive in it, have been using it for work related stuff for 2 years. Boot up time was getting slower didn't want to end up waiting for this thing to crash. Pretty simple install, you can use many of the clone software programs out there, just understand that it takes a while to clone a 500 GB drive and have some patience. Everything cloned without a problem, bootup time is really quick, everything running smoothly.

I purchased the Samsung - 860 EVO 500GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive. This is my first time with installing an SSD. I easily enough installed this in to my Dell Inspiron Laptop myself. Only down side was that my laptop did not recognize the SSD. Since this did not come with any directions as to what I needed to do I had to search YouTube and found that I had to create a new partition. I just followed the instructions via YouTube video and now the drive is recognized. I will be buying a couple more of these SSD in the near future.

This is the best choice for a high performance ssd at a reasonable price. Performs on par with Intel but notably less expensive. Great choice for gamers!

Fast hard drive, decent price. Needed to upgrade an old laptop, and between this and the RAM...golden.

Once the proper cloning software was located, the transfer of files went well. Great improvement in speed over HDD. So far, very reliable.
