Pricier than other brands, but faster and more reliable. Easily worth it. Invluded cloning software is quick and easy as well.

Using as a drive for game installs. This works perfectly for fast smooth start times and use times with applications for drive use. While 500gb is 4 or 5 games (games installed are 60 to 104gb on mine), my only set back is maybe I should have went with 1TB, but that's how I always feel about upgrading drives I suppose. The speed test is at par with Samsung specs and worth every dollar even if it is an older model of ssd.

The best drives simply work reliably and provide a good balance between size, price and speed. This drive does exactly that.

It's been a month, it works great, best improvement for the money ever. very fast boot up speed. I can't vouch for the instructions, we used a migration software to copy the entire hard drive to the new SSD. I don't know where he got the software. The SSD connected easily to my Dell PC.

Installation was a breeze. Big upgrade run my Os on this ssd. Had it for a bit know no issues. No problems.

There are other drives that may be cheaper, but this is going to be the fastest, most reliable SSD for the money.

I had heard an SSD will make your computer faster. After installing this drive and copying over everything, I discovered they were right! Computer boots in seconds and loads programs much faster. The instructions have a link to a utility called Samsung Magician that can enable features of the drive and perform diagnostics. This is a fantastic program. Not really much else to say. Install it and it works. No temperature issues or performance issues.

I would definitely recommend this HD over others. Great value and quality as compared to other HDs. Easy installation.

Already had the smaller EVO SSD so upgraded at modest cost. Just as fast but about same price for twice the storage.

I followed all the instructions and recommendations. The 2 key things are the SATA-USB adapter cable (to initially connect the SSD) the and downloading the Samsung Data Migration software (to clone the existing drive to the SSD). Follow the instructions, do not skip any steps. There's definitely a noticeable difference especially in starting Windows & Windows Updates. If your deciding on what upgrade to do, definitely do this one!
