I've had several other brands of SSD die on me but this one has been very functional and extremely fast.

Does its job in spades. If u need a sata 3 ssd this one is great for the price. Easy install too, it just works.

Samsung SSD is reliable and affordable. Loads Windows quickly and if you play online games will load them up faster too.

I got it at a good discount, but it's well worth spending the extra money. Far too many lower priced brands ship with buggy, undertested firmware, figuring they can ship now and patch the bugs later. I had the above happen to me with PNY SSD. Took about a month of troubleshooting before I got this drive just to see if PNY unit was bad outta the box. Yep, not a single issue since changing to this one.

I had to upgrade my hard drive to SSD, that was a great deal. Very fast and easy to install.

As someone who is relatively handy and has taken apart a computer before, this was quite easy to install on my desktop. Once it was plugged in, the software part was also easy. So far, no issues whatsoever, I use it to store all my games and keep my other drive for OS and documents. I don't have any specifics on performance, I don't think I use it in a way that details matter.

This is a great ssd for Mac laptops! I have a five year old MacBook Pro and it feels brand new after I switched to ssd!

Great results with both 860 evos. They test faster than my previous Intel 545. The drive is pretty thin and light weight. When I accidentally applied downward pressure on the ribbon cable during installation, the plastic ssd housing near the SATA interface appeared to flex and be separating. No damage resulted, but made me treat these with more care than with older metallic cased hard drives.

I've always liked Samsung products, and trusted them. I did some research, and read up on different SSD drives; and a lot of people seemed to like this drive. It's very fast on boot up, and read and write speeds. So, far I have had no problems with this drive. I wish, I would have gotten the 1TB drive when it was on sale during the holidays. Also, make sure you go to Samsung web site, and download their "Data Migration" software, it's very easy to use; and very fast.

Nothing much to say, if you need the fastest and most reliable SSD in this form factor there is no other comparison.

This is an excellent option for replacing the standard laptop SATA drive. The drive is very fast and easy to install.

Bought this to replace the slow HDD in my PS4 Pro. Even though it's less storage (1TB is stock), the speed increase in boot up time, loading speeds, and download/install speed was worth it. I didn't need the extra storage space of 1TB because I only play 1 or 2 games a year. I have bought other Samsung SSDs in the past and the quality of their products is always there.

The samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD is a great buy, not just for the price, but for the performance and longevity.
