Nice Christmas present
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This drive was installed as an upgrade for my HP x360 11.6 inch laptop that came with a traditional 2.5 inch magnetic hard drive. The laptop was a bit difficult to open up for hard drive access, but manageable with the help of youtube tutorials. Used a free version of Macrium reflect to clone the original drive to this one prior to swapping them out. Laptop now boots to a usable state in less than a minute.

Great if you have something older you need to install this in and don’t have any NVMe slots to use if you wanna go SSD. I’ll always recommend Samsung SSDs due to their warranty as well. I had one fail on me and they sent a replacement out ASAP.

Great swap for PS4

Only took 5 minutes to switch the drives, and installing the PS4 software was easy. Then I moved it into my gaming PC to boot from, and my computer turns on and has to login screen with 10 to 15 seconds, it is very quick.

This SSD made my old MacBook Pro new again!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After upgrading the RAM to 16GB, I bought and installed the Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD in my 2012 13inch MacBook Pro. Wow! It restarts in seconds, even with my many login items, vs several minutes with the stock 5400 rpm HD. My Mac feels brand new, and everything runs way faster now, even apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. I wish I had done this years ago!

Even old computers that you would normally say are obsolete work reasonably well when you convert over to an SSD. I have never used another brand of SSD other than Samsung because they get the highest ratings and they provide free data migration software that always seems to work.
