Easy to transfer existing OS. Really fast and superior to a traditional hard drive.

Great drive so far. Very easy to install. My win10 computer fully boots within 15 seconds.

This SSD along with the USB SATA cable and software allowed me to replace my hard drive in my desktop in about an hour with no problems. This Drive has sped up the boot speed considerably. Loading of all software has improved also. I am considering another purchase for another computer that I currently cannot use due to a frozen hard drive.

I bought a low end Dell laptop at Best Buy that included a mechanical HDD--the computer should have had decent performance, but after being used to using a SSD on my desktop computer the laptop was irritatingly slow. After replacing with this drive the laptop is a joy to use. I'm a software developer and the speed increase from this drive was DEFINITELY needed. I'm quite happy with that upgrade.

Bought this to add some additional storage to my desktop as a 3rd drive for overflow storage. Wanted the 1TB option but it was only available online and they shipped me. 500GB. Went into the store and got the difference refunded, but still, it was kind of a PITA. All said and done, good SDD, but I wish BBY warehouse would’ve gotten it right the first time.

I have purchased a number of these for a project that I'm spearheading for a client involving upgrading all of their office workstation computers from HDD to SSD. The "Samsung - 860 EVO 500GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive" is a great value and has quite an adequate amount of storage for the vast majority of users in an office environment. The SSD technology is of course light years ahead of HDD in terms of performance, which allows employees to do things quicker, which means they spend less time on individual projects, which means they can do more projects in the same amount of time over the course of a workday/workweek. The SSD style drives are an absolute godsend for employee productivity and therefore profit lines for businesses. The "Samsung - 860 EVO 500GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive" enables this productivity and profit at an extremely affordable price point. At this price, it makes literally no sense for anyone to own and use a computer with an operating system on an HDD style drive.

Have installed a number of Samsung EVO SATA-based drives now; reliable, fast (even better with RAPID enabled), easy-to-use migration software (but you'll want a USB to 2.5" SATA cable with UASP protocol capability if you can't connect it internally for the transfer), and the prices have come down a bunch in general (thankfully). If you haven't tried one, now's the time.

I did a clone with software to replace hard drive with failing message I got from best buy. Rep told me this solid state hard drive won't have issues with platter and read arm. Clone went great, slipped this hard drive in and could not believe how much faster it booted up and I could navigate with the SATA and solid state. Thanks Best Buy for the advice. This baby was even on sale, saved $20.
