Pro version look better in paper, and I'm sure its faster because of the technology behind it, but this EVO version works just fine for us. Your network is as fast as your weakest link allows it to be, and rest assure that this SSD will not be.

Over this holiday season 2018, I purchased this 500Gb Samsung EVO 860 SSD for $75!!! My how times have changed. That said, some 6-7 years later that old EVO 830 is still operational in my old ROG G75vw laptop, purchased at virtually the same time! Samsung makes SSDs that last!

Made my 5yr old laptop young again

(You have to be comfortable with unscrewing/removing the back cover ... and unscrewing/unplugging your old HDD ... it's really not that hard.) Faster than a speeding bullet ... a little poetic license there. ;) But really, sped up everything on my laptop a ton ... 5-10x.
