Turned my old laptop in to a fast laptop that the kids now want to use. I started off with a competing drive but could not transfer the OS and programs. Samsung has some software that takes care of that regardless of the existing hard drive in the laptop. It took a few trips to Geek Squad to get it working but it was worth it.

Very fast compared to traditional HHDs, easy to install

My original 256GB Solid State Drive was filling up quickly and I needed a replacement without loading up my credit card. This 500GB Solid State Driver came on sale and I scooped on up right away. Haven't had and issue with the drive in almost two years of heavy use. Installation was easy.

Samsung SSD’s are Top SSD in the market and they live up to there rankings. There are some hidden gems out there but you can never go wrong with this SSD drive, especially since the price of SSD drives have gone down in the past few years. Its a cant miss. Quality, durability and speed. Highly Recommended

It was easy to install, and fast to copy all Files on it.

Literally no complaints about this one My PC uses this as a boot drive and it's super snappy and i have a second 1TB model of the SSD as a storage drive and the transfer speeds between them is pretty much instant. If you can get one of these especially when they are on sale i highly recommend it!

I replaced my 2.5" 5400 rpm drive with this SSD and the bootup is now just a few seconds, with improved battery life and no more hard drive noise. I expect to get a few more years out of this rig thanks to the replacement One thing to note. If your laptop doesn't have a service bay, taking one apart is for the brave or the pros.

Due to errors on the original hard drive of my daughter's 6-year-old laptop, it took several attempts to clone the roughly 100GB of data to this SSD. But once the cloning completed, swapping in the SSD was trivial and her laptop has new life! It seems that Windows 10 really requires an SSD to give acceptable performance.

These are the only drives I trust my information with. I had one partially fail but I was still able to get my info off. It was under warranty so I contacted Samsung. I had a new drive within a few days. Great customer service and a nearly bulletproof product. What more is there to say?

The hard drive in my PlayStation 4 went out and I purchased this as a replacement. It fits the adapter in the PlayStation and you can see the difference in performance. It is a major upgrade from the stock version. The installation is easy if you follow the installation guide.

Samsung 860 evo ssd's install easy and perform well

The change in my computers performance when i switched to a SSD was extreme it made my time using the computer much better then it was before the SSD. If your on the fence about updating your hard drive take my work you will not regret this change it is the single biggest thing to make a computer run faster.

It's better than expected, easy to install and super fast

I got this on sale, and what a HUGE difference it made for gaming! I popped this thing in my laptop as a secondary drive to reduce load times for several games that were taking too long to load on the existing HD. After seeing the performance increase, I'll probably wind up making this SSD the primary and moving the HD to backup.

I have always liked the Samsung ssd's. This new 860 Evo is a very amazing drive. It's very fast and has a long rated lifespan. I bought this one for a laptplop with a failing hard drive and Samsung's cloning software is so easy to use it made the process super easy.

I have bought and used several Samsung 850 EVO and 860 EVO SSD drives over the last few years and every one of them has worked perfectly and continues to do so. They have provided a big performance boost for relatively new computers and breathed new life into machines that would have otherwise been destined for disposal.
