Samsung SSDs are high quality at a good price. They are fast enough for typical data needs and more efficient and stable than spinning hard drives. Samsung is one of the top manufacturers of solid state storage and it shows with the build quality and functionality.

Was able to install the HD as primary drive in Dell desktop. Made sure to read and learn as much as possible to ensure proper bootup but performance compared to the regular disk drive is at least 5 times faster to boot up.

I have Older Macbook Pro, and I was look to purchase a New Macbook Pro, and an IT Specialist told me about this Internal SSD. Installed it & backed up the old hard drive to the new one, this makes my Older Macbook Pro runs so smooth and easy now. Now I don't have to purchase a new Macbook Pro.

Love the Samsung EVO SSDs. Purchased a number of them the last couple years and have yet to have one fail. Build quality is great and they always work. While I don't do technical comparisons for speed, these are always my first choice if I need a drive!

The Geek Squad installed this to replace my 128GB SSD. All went well. They were very responsive. Aside from Windows they are not permitted to transfer programs. I decided to get the latest MS Office which they installed. All was Included with my Geek Squad subscription. .

Nothing negative to say about this SSD. Probably the best on the market. Great read/write speeds. Easy to use software (available for download) to clone your existing drive if you are upgrading. I have three computers at my desk and I am running Samsung SSDs in all of them. I bought this one for my brother's computer.

My daughters laptop had performance issues related to 100% disk usage. All kid priced laptops were sold out since everyone suddenly became WFH. Decided to replace the HDD to see if it would fix it. With the cost of SSD i decided to go ahead and try it. Runs like a new computer.

Write speeds are consistent. Read speeds are fast. Good TBW rating. Quality is superior. I've purchased over 10 Samsung SSDs and none have failed. Just the reliability alone, I'll go with Samsung. There's a reason why it's the most sought after SSD year after year.

I bought this Samsung - 860 EVO 500GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive to replace a laptop drive but found I didn't need it this time ... I've used them in the past tho and have been very satisfied with them and as technology marches on, the prices keep coming down making them more affordable.

I installed the SSD in my desktop. What a change from the older HDD ! The computer comes to life in just a few seconds. I don't need to wait a few minutes for the PC to wake up. I had cloned the system to the SSD, so I can claim the revolution is real.

I have a 2014 model PC. This is the best upgrade that I've done so far. Previous boot time took around 2mins. Now it's just a couple of seconds. I noticed too that most programs/apps installed on the SDD load slightly faster. So if you're in tight budget and looking for an upgrade this should be your priority.

I replaced my 1TB HDD with the Samsung Evo 500gb SSD. I did lose storage however, I am very content with the difference in how fast my games boot up now. I don't have too many PS4 games so it's no biggie but if I find myself running out of space in the near future upgrading to a 1TB SSD won't be a issue.

I threw this into an old 2011 MacBook Pro and the speed increases are phenomenal. Yes the processor shows its limitations but this thing makes it feel almost as quick as a modern MacBook Air. Boots up incredibly fast and finds files quickly. Perfect for my needs.

I'm running an old Asus board with an Intel core 2 quad. With this drive Windows is very fast, and I'm able to use sleep mode. (Never could before.) From cold hibernation or fully powered down, I can have Windows up in a few seconds. No more churning while watching the stupid spinning circle thing!

At the recommendation of my friend I replaced the HD on my 6 yo laptop with this SSD. Boot up is now less than 15 seconds from the HD's 3-5 minutes. Not concerned with the SSD read/write life as it was either this or getting my kid a new Chromebook where his school work is all on G-Docs.

Decent SSD but I wouldn’t buy a normal SSD anymore. M.2 are better and faster

I have gotten several of these drives and love how Samsung has gotten this perfect with the transfer software to be able to clone your existing drive and then just swap it out. Couldn't be much easier than that. The speed of the SSD versus other hard drives is so much better, you will never go back.
