I love the speed and less heat generated and battery seems to last longer. My old drive was on its last legs so I needed to change anyhow. it is most definitely worth it.

I bought this to upgrade my old 240GB SSD due to this being on sale and my old SSD being completely full. So far I've had no issues with running this hard drive and it has been working like a charm. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a good drive to boot your system from.

Installing the Samsung SSD has completely change my on line experience. My laptop now actually responds to my input VERY quickly. Love it. The Geek squad was fantastic in getting my system updated and back to me back into my hands. THANK YOU GEEK SQUAD.

I am very glad I purchased this Samsung ssd. The hard drive itself is great but what makes it amazing is the software you can download from Samsung’s website. I used the Migration Tool to move from my 120gb hard drive to this 500gb drive. Now I have more space and the move was ridiculously easy.

My MacBook Pro hard drive was on its last legs. I had this installed and now my computer doesn’t take 10 minuted to boot. The only strange thing is my computer gets hot now and the fan seems to constantly run. It may not be related to the drive.

I’ve purchased about 4 over the past few years as primary and secondary drives in older MacBook Pro and Lenovo (Windows) laptop. Great performance and have been reliable. A couple of the drives hold sample libraries and loops for live performance with software synths and music production.

I wanted something to bring up Windows faster on my HP EliteBook 8540p...with the solid state drive Windows boots and loads within a fraction of the time that the old HD did. I can't even restart, then get up to get a cup of coffee before Windows is up, and my coffee cup is still empty!

Works great and well worth the extra couple bucks. The read/write speeds are good and I've had none of the reliability issues I've had with some of the other lover priced drives available from other manufacturers at the store. Install was a snap.

This drive works great and is at the top end of consumer performance. Just do yourself a favor and buy it elsewhere. Best Buy has gone downhill dramatically over the past few years and it took me over 20 mins to get someone to let me buy it.

I knew from reading about SSD drives they were faster, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much faster my computer starts up plus programs and screens open quicker on my desktop. I changed because of a failing hard drive, but after seeing the improvement I wish I had made the change sooner.

This Samsung-860 EVO 500GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive is working very well for me. Samsung is pretty much a great brand form all the purchases of products so far. My husband is a senior software engineer and highly recommends this!

My laptop is aging, but still working very well, but performance could be better. In considering various options, I decided to replace the hard drive with a Samsung SSD. It was the best thing I could have done! My laptio boots up much faster, and general performance has improved greatly!

This is the 2nd one of this particular SSD that I have bought. The first one that I bought was to upgrade another SSD I had in my computer and I'm glad that I did. I have had no problems with that one, so I bought the same one for my kid's computer to do the same thing to it.

This is the second Samsung ssd 860 I've purchased. The first one installed without a hitch. The second had a little difficulty going into an Inspiron 545 due to the size difference. After a little research, I found that a spacer costing a few dollars corrected the issue. Great purchase!

As expected, it was too small to fit in the all-in-one desktop so had to adapt with a bracket and short power and SATA cable extensions. Other than that a solid performer. Incredible improvement in performance of my computer. It dragged frequently before now everything snaps.

Bought this to speed up my Lenovo Thinkpad T480 and it works like a charm. Installation was easy (follow instructions and look online for steps if needed!!) and it has definitely sped up my laptop performance. Very solid product, I hope it lasts.

This was my first SSD. I put it in a new AMD/MSI build and I am getting 13 seconds from power button to windows login. My only regret was not buying the 1TB out of the gate. Game sizes are so large that I ran out of space in just a couple weeks.

Bought this to upgrade my wife's old slow laptop. Turns out the slow speed wasn't the laptop but the old mechanical drive. WOW this one piece really brought new life to an almost useless laptop. Now she can browse the web, shop, and create her crafting items again on her laptop.

Plugged this drive into the spare Sata 3 port on my new HP Envy pc Downloaded the Samsung Magic software and 14 minutes later my SSD was drive C:, the boot drive. All my software was migrated from the 1 TB hard drive. The boot time is now 7-9 seconds and my I7 opens apps faster than ever.
