Samsung ssd are pricey but highly reliable. After all, isn’t reliability what counts!?!? Saving a few bucks on a brand-x that turns out to be unreliable is a complete waste of money & time. And worse - you may lose your priceless data.

I replaced my old hard disk drive with this solid state drive and wow... It's like I bought a whole new computer. If your computer is running slow and you think it's time to look at a new one just replace your hard drive with a solid state drive and you'll be blown away.

Still going strong in my main PC all these years later. Samsung is not always the cheapest option, but their cloning software, speed and reliability make it the choice when you want the best. I have never had data loss issues with Samsung.

Used this product to replace the 5400 rpm drive in a Dell laptop. The speed increase is amazing. I used an outboard drive box and the Samsung software to clone the original drive over USB. Then I swapped the drives and I was done. Couldn't have been easier.

Great SSD drive! Ended up buying this to replace my older Evo 850 and I love it so far. Fast read and write speeds. One thing, if you can afford to get the 1TB version please do so as media is taking up a lot of space in today's world.

Prices on solid state drives have been cut in half almost. I picked it up right away when I saw the price cut. And I love it! I had an optical drive before and now my startup times are less than 10 seconds. Crazy performance boost on bios times, noise levels, and file write speed

Great value, you can't go wrong. Used it to upgrade my wife's standard Harddrive in her laptop, and it was a massive difference.

Y recently bought a used computer and it a nice machine an all, I am upgrading a few things but the main one was going from HDD so SSD. I saw a significant improvement in the boot up time. This thing flies! I strongly recommend transition from old tech (HDD) to SSD!

I’m so glad I got this solid state drive for an old Toshiba laptop that I love and wanted to keep. It was slow and Off putting . The solid state drive has speeded up the start up and getting online. Did the job really well. Well worth it,

This Samsung SSD is great. If you haven't upgrade from a mechanical hard drive to an SSD yet, you are depriving yourself greatly. SSDs are so much faster. You won't believe it until you get one. Then you'll hate yourself for not doing it sooner. Go. Get it. NOW!

This is a good product by a brand that has been making some of the best SSD's out there. There might be cheaper priced SSD's, but this one has worked out very well with consistent speed and has lasted for many TB written as a cache drive on my server.

I replaced a magnetic HD in an old MacBook Pro. This unit is light, it fits right where and how the old one fit and it's lightning fast. I had no problems installing it and our daughter has had no problems with it. Full-on recommend.

I used this drive to replace the original HDD in my 2011 Mac Mini. Even though it had 16 GB of memory, it was sluggish by current standards. This drive really made the computer usable again and was a fairly easy install. Glad I got it and very glad it was in stock same day!

I had and old laptop that was very slow. I did purchase the Samsung SSD and had the gig squat have it installed. They did a very good job transferring my old data into the new Samsung disk. My laptop is faster that ever and I will keep it for many years to come.

Any user who is still using a hard disk and not upgraded to a solid state disk should upgrade right away. Samsung makes it easy with Samsung Magician which clones your old disk to your new one without having to reinstall the operating system and load all your files over agan.

This is the 2nd Samsung EVO 500GB SSD I have purchased. I bought the 850 EVO 2 years ago. When I needed another drive I did not hesitate to get this one. I even recommended it to a relative that wanted a SSD for their computer.

I had the HDD of 1Tb. And I upgrade my hard disk to this 500GB SSD. Now my system boots in 20sec instead of 2-3minutes. Along with it all read write process got super speed. Happy with this upgrade. And the most important thing is it took me 20min to install.

I bought this one a long time ago to upgrade my mid 2009 Macbook Pro and i've been loving it ever since i installed it. This time i bought the same one to update my 2010 Window 7 desktop PC and the PC is so much faster now.

Item made for desktop PC's or laptops ! Don't know why is listed as " for Laptops ".Seems just as fast as all the media outlet benchmarks claim. Was on sale; wanted two 1 TB models but out of local stock so settled for 500 GB. Can't really go wrong with the Evo series.
