I put this 860 EVO into my wife's aged Toshiba C655 laptop, running Win 7, and maxed out with only 4GB of memory. It loads everything quicker and it was an easy install using the Apricorn SATA Wire 3.0.

I bought this for a laptop that was taking a LONG time to boot! Boot up till usable time appropriately 3.5 minutes, now boots up in around 50 seconds. Don’t think about it just get it!!!!

Had the Geek Squad replace my old computer's hard drive with this new solid state drive and the desktop works just fine. It has been two months; will see how good the long-term reliability is

Fast, quiet and efficient storage device at a very reasonable price. Download and run the Samsung Magician app and see for yourself the performance improvement over a mechanical hard drive. This drive did not come with any cables or other hardware such as a 2.5 inch mounting bracket but those items are common enough to pick up. I give 5 stars for performance but 4 stars overall due to no accessories with the drive.

I have been buying this specific ssd for a few years now and have never had any issues with them. Attractive packaging and decent speeds make this an ssd to recommend.

Haven't had any issues with the hard drive. The laptop is in constant use for remote learning and homework assignments. The laptop actually runs a little faster now.

I never had a solid-state drive before this one. What a difference! my laptop is 4x as fast and the performance is astounding. Replacing the old drive with this one was a game-changer.

Purchase pad this for my S/O for their birthday. Works fantastic. 10/10 would buy again! Makes a wonderful gift for someone who loves/works with computers!

If you're not familiar with SSDs, I think Samsung is the best out there. Easy to install, good transfer software, and very fast SSD. Transform any HDD computer to be like a new computer.

Fast, large, and does what I need it to! Was in the market for a new SSD that is larger than the 250gig I have my OS on. This is exactly what I was looking for and I am happy with my purchase!

I bought this to replace and old HDD on my laptop. It was working super slow and with this one the improvement was superb. It’s like having a new computer for just the prize of this SSD.

I have bought a number of EVO 840 and 850 drives, and they have performed quite well. The 860 lives up to the presedence set by the previous versions and I look forward to buying more. Highly recommended.

Speedy performance. This is a great drive. I am using it in an older IMac to get faster response for dual boot windows and OS X. It brought it back to life.

boot up quickly..no more delays..easy to transfer data from old drive to it. Samsung migration program was easy, simple and trouble free. The drive is sold, and fast.

I'm amazed how much faster the drive is. The Magician software not only carves out a bit of the drive for overhead, but it also has a cool performance test you can run on all installed drives

Samsung definitely leads in this category of internal SSD. It's my go to. I think I've literally bought dozens of this across many of systems by now.

Bought 3 of these as gifts for the holidays for a steal price. Not a single issue with any of the installs, very happy. Used a hdd duplicator and re-installed. Done, everyone has faster systems.
