I have an older Samsung 500GB SSD in a work laptop and never have any trouble. I bought this model to replace older HDD in plex server machine and was very happy to see warranty is still 5 years. Other manufacturers including WD is only giving 3 years. It's fine if you don't need it (and my older Samsung is going strong), but when you do better to know you have 5 years! I had separate WD HDD NAS drive fail within 3 years and even their RMA process was not so good. Get the Samsung! :-)

I replaced a failed mechanical Toshiba drive in my 2010 MacBook Pro. The replacement procedure was flawless, and has, so far, been working amazing. It sped up my old machine quite a bit.

I had the previous model of this and it is still going strong after a few years. This one seems a little faster and hopefully will last as long. I'm going to buy another for more game installs.

So far great, no issues, very easy to install and setup, amazing speed. I replaced my old HDD with this and cut the boot time from 90 seg to 40seg.

I have 2 of these. They are very fast and able to improve PCs performance. You don't the Evo Pro unless the user is a designer, gamer, video maker.

This is one of the best SSD's you can buy for both reliability and performance. I have had no issues with errors or performance, in any way, with this SSD.

Samsung SSD's are the best, most stable and reliable on the market. I have installed over 100 of these in the last couple of years and never had an issue, unlike the other brands.

if you are looking to replace your spinning HDD's that hoilds your OS and most used apps this drive is great fast boot time, and program load times are improved

I bought this drive as my OS drive and the software from Samsung did a great job transferring my data from my old drive. Very fast boot up and very fast operations.

Ive used many of these samsung drives in desktop and laptop never had an issue. Easy installation and Bestbuy has price matching bought on line picked up in store less than an hour later.

Reasonably fast drive. Not as fast as I'd hoped, but a good improvement over the traditional drive, particularly as the desktop is about 4 years old.

Easy to install and clone from my original HDD. Decreased my boot time from over 2 min to about 30 seconds. All programs opens faster and life is sweet!

Installed this drive to replace a failing drive. So far this thing has been the best purchase out lab has made. The computer has been reborn, and the cloning software worked flawlessly.

I have been using these drives for the last 2 years and have not had one fail yet. This drive will more than double the performance of your computer and is extremely power efficient, durable and is great for laptops and desktops. The Samsung "Data Migration" software tool makes it really easy to clone your existing drive over to the new drive and then you just swap it out. You will need an external drive enclosure for the drive duplication and it is not included, but they are relatively inexpensive and you can then use the drive enclosure to put your old drive in and use it as a backup. In any case, I highly recommend this drive, I believe it to be one of the best on the market.

This was recommended when my drive wasn’t working correctly by the tech person at Best Buy. This one is faster and works great very happy with it.

Honestly these ssds are so afforable and fast they were a no-brainer. Samsung has the fastest speeds. I needed to dual-boot my PC and this was much cleaner than partitioning my existing drive.

Bought this Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD to replace a mechanical hard drive in my computer. Much faster booting and all around - web surfing, Office, etc.

After researching lots of other SSD options, I decided on this Samsung. Migration of my old system/hard drive was easy, and everything operates way faster. Definitely worth the purchase.

Easy install and worked effortlessly. Samsung doesn't provide the mounting screws so if you're adding this as an additional drive you'll need mounting hardware.
