I bought this SSD to replace the HDD in my new HP All-in-One, and I regret nothing. The Samsung Data Migration Software made it easy to transfer everything, including my operating system, over to this new drive. It was also nearly a quarter of the size of the hard drive that was originally in my computer. Once it was installed, I could start my computer and be web browsing in less than 15 seconds. I will be using this SSD to start my computer and run programs, and use the old hard drive as external storage for files and other assorted crap.

This is the first SSD I have ever used. The speed compared to my old HDD is insane. Installing this was super simple and consisted of unplugging the cables from the HDD and plugging them into the SSD. Installing windows onto it is super easy and there are many tutorials on youtube. I do wish I had gone with a bigger capacity as 500gb runs out very quick if you play a lot AAA games. Overall I'm very happy with the quality and the price I paid for this SSD. You can't go wrong with Samsung products.

I bought the Samsung EVO SSD because of reliable ratings. But I was disappointed with amsung's website, it didn't have the EVO 860 even listed yet. The recommended software for migration didn't have the EVO 860 listed yet either. When I used their migration software, it found the original drive and the new SSD BUT it said sorry, not compatible with your Toshiba hard drive. Had to go to Partition Wizard website and download their free Mini Tool, which worked fine. This new SSD is amazingly fast, total boot time is 20 seconds with Windows 10 on my HP Envy laptop.

Finally found a good quality of ssd,with reasonable price and ease to use overall it was excellent expectations.

Works really well, speed up my computer by a million times. Boots from cold start to the desktop in like 5 seconds. Definitely worth the money.

Purchase this SSD drive to replace my existing hard disk drive and improve performance on my Lenovo laptop. What a difference in performance it has made, like night and day. Response and multitasking is fast and I feel like I have a new laptop once again. Install was very easy and the utility Samsung provides to transfer the disk image from my hard disk drive to the solid-state drive was easy to use and worked great. This is my second Samsung SSD drive I have purchased and both have been wonderful.

I installed in 2008 Sony vain F with an I-7 . This laptop was state of the art then. It always over heated and just got to slow. Amazing what an SSD will do. It’s blazing fast now by far. It’s running Windows 10 and laptop no longer over heats (apparently old Hd made cpu work to hard was my best guess). In basic functions every bit as fast as my new A51M just for web browsing and MS office. An SSD is amazing technology and worth every penny. Considering one? Just get it...

As prices for SSDs continue to fall there is really no reason not to buy one. I have always had great results from Samsung SSDs and the 860 EVO is no exception. The Magician software is really what sets these apart from the pack. There are now faster options out there with the M.2 NVME form factor but the SATA based versions are still very fast and reliable compared to the platter counterparts. If you don't have a SSD by now you are really missing out. The single best upgrade for any computer period!

I purchased this 500 GB drive for use in a 7 Year old Dell Latitude E6530 running Windows 10. I am totally satisfied with it. I use the Dell Latitude notebook computers because of their durability and their dependability in the long run. Booting up takes less that 15 seconds. I am very pleased with its performance. Opening Microsoft software was never faster. This kind of speed makes me I feel like I am using my Microsoft Surface Pro. I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works as advertised. Faster, cooler, quieter than my disk drive. Upgrade install is easy.

Had a 1 TB hard drive in laptop and starting getting slower and slower. Cloned old hard drive to this Samsung EVO and WOW what a difference. Easy to do, just need a special cable ($12 on line) and cloning software ( I have Acronis) and look up on internet how to take apart your laptop and it is soooo easy to do. Be careful to check out laptop to be sure HHD is compatible and be sure to check and double check how to take apart computer to replace hard drive. Make a big difference in speed.

I was running my computer still with a WD Blue drive, but it was starting to feel slow. I thought since it was an older computer (9 years now) that that was likely the issue and I was getting used to my faster other computer. Decided to get this SSD to toss in it's place and wow. The computer has new life. Samsung's SSD Evo line is not as good as the pro line, but it has a more reasonable price point, and is still one of the fastest drives you can get that still uses SATA as it's interface.

Extremely fast compared to an hdd. Was very happy with the performance. Makes a huge difference in computer start time.
